Daughter of Zion
Have you ever wondered what invisible chains might be holding you back in your spiritual life? In this powerful, heart-searching message, Pastor Bob delivers a challenging but desperately needed wake-up call to believers who may be living with one foot in the church and another in secret bondage.
Drawing from Isaiah 52, we explore the profound concept of the "daughter of Zion" – representing modern Christians who maintain religious appearances while inwardly struggling with unbelief or hidden sin. The startling truth? We weren't captured or forced into spiritual slavery – we sold ourselves "for nothing" (the Hebrew word "chinem" meaning to stoop low before an inferior). Through cautionary tales of fallen ministers and biblical examples like Peter, Jacob, and Jonah, we discover how deceptive sin can be, taking us further than we intended to go and costing more than we planned to pay.
But here's the beautiful news that brings tears to many eyes: God's response to our self-imposed bondage isn't condemnation but restoration. "Awake, awake, put on your strength, O Zion!" Like Jesus preparing breakfast for Peter after his denial, our Father approaches us with grace, addressing the root issues while offering complete healing. The message reaches its powerful climax with the declaration that "you sold yourself for nothing, but you will be redeemed without cost."
If something has you bound – a secret struggle, an element of doubt, or a besetting sin – freedom is available right now. You need not remain chained one minute longer. Take that journey to the cross where every shackle will fall, and discover what it truly means to "shake yourself from the dust" and rise into the fullness of who God created you to be.
But not because of you, but because he is good and you will not have room to receive Him. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, Woo, oh yeah.
Speaker 2:Hello, welcome to Valley Gospel Church. We are a non-denominational Pentecostal church located in Springdale, Pennsylvania. Our sole mission is to present the living truth of a risen Lord Jesus Christ to a remnant church and a lost world. So let's go into the service recorded live at Valley Gospel Church.
Speaker 3:Hallelujah, just kind of a I don't know forewarning. This morning's message is deep and it's challenging. Just kind of a I don't know forewarning. This morning's message is deep and it's challenging. It's challenging to preach. The message that I had prepared for this morning just didn't feel right. It just didn't seem right and I tried to force it into the and it wasn't right. So Friday it kind of got all changed and this message is not only challenging to preach. This message is not only challenging to preach, it's going to be challenging to receive. But I pray that you might receive it not only as inspiring but as maybe convicting, and realize that it was meant just for today. It was meant just for today, it was meant just for you. It touched my heart. It both challenged me and convicted me and I pray it does you as well. Amen, amen.
Speaker 3:Looking over some old notes from 2012, I believe it was I came across a couple of semi-celebrities that you might know Well. One you might know, one you might not. One was Sam Kinison. One was Sam Kinison. Sam Kinison was a pretty famous comedian in the 80s and 90s and, if you remember, he was killed in a fiery car crash on Route 66. Sam was known for his insatiable lust for drugs, for brews, for women. What most don't know is that Sam Kinison was a Pentecostal preacher. He was on fire for the Lord. He was baptized in the Holy Ghost. He was called by God as an evangelist, but he succumbed to the debauchery, to the darkness of this world and possibly certainly don't know his last moments, but possibly was lost for all eternity. But possibly was lost for all eternity.
Speaker 3:The other you may not know was David Borg, b-e-r-g, pronounced Borg, though he started. He was the founder of a Christian group called the Children of God. He started his ministry as a teen challenge preacher in California, powerful teacher, preacher of God's word, dedicated, charismatic. But he had a secret sin that raged inside and it finally came to light when he was caught abusing his seven-year-old daughter. He abandoned his wife and he began a long string of affairs with women and with men, with women and with men. He changed his name in the 1980s, I don't know. He changed his name to Moses and began what he called and you may have heard this called flirting evangelism, and it was in essence a Christian prostitution service with hundreds of followers, and the women in the church would say they're happy to give their all because Jesus gave his all. He said he was directed to do this by an angel, abraham, which he later acknowledged was not an angel but a demon which haunted him day and night until his death in the mid-90s, presumably totally demon-possessed and lost for eternity.
Speaker 3:So why did I bring you these two stories, chrissy? Let's go to work. Hallelujah, and remember I said it would be a challenge. These two tragic stories are meant to serve as a reminder that every Christian, no matter our position, no matter our condition, needs to look at our lives and assess what we're doing and admit the truth, not only to ourselves but to God, that our secret may lead us down a path of destruction and will ultimately be our downfall, unless we turn from it and leave it at the cross. How deceptive is Satan, how deceptive, how dangerous is sin, and the cost is much greater than we ever expected to pay. So if you'll turn with Chrissy to the book of Isaiah, that's right, colette. The book of Isaiah, 52. 52. 52, beginning with the first verse, 52 and 1.
Speaker 2:Awake, awake. Put on your strength, O Zion, Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city, For henceforth there shall no more come unto you the uncircumcised and the unclean. Shake yourself from the dust. Arise and sit down, O Jerusalem. Loose yourself from the bands of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion. For saith the Lord, you have sold yourselves for naught and you shall be redeemed without money.
Speaker 3:Wow, wow, pretty close, huh. I used for a subject this morning. It's a long title, erin, you don't have to use it all, but the title is Daughter of Zion, you Were Sold for Nothing and I'll just give you a. I just want to have this as kind of the call word, call phrase for this message Sin will always take you further than you wanted to go, it will always keep you longer than you wanted to stay and it'll always cost you more than you were willing to pay. Let's pray, heavenly Father. Thank you, lord. Lord, thank you for interrupting my pay. Let's pray, heavenly Father. Thank you, Lord. Lord, thank you for interrupting my train of thought. Lord, thank you for interrupting what I thought would be good for today and giving me what you wanted, lord. Lord, I ask not only prophetically, but I ask in spirit and in truth. Lord, let today's word be a lamp and a light. It is in the name of your mighty son. We pray. Amen and amen.
Speaker 2:Amen.
Speaker 3:Please be seated. I believe what the Holy Spirit is revealing in this reading is Isaiah's sad and pitiful vision of what today's modern church has become. I understand he's speaking to ancient Israel, to Zion, but I think, if you keep in mind that Zion is more than ancient Israel but can be interpreted as modern believers in this midnight hour, christians who have fallen but thinking they're okay, but thinking they're okay. Christians who have fallen but thinking they're spiritually strong and ready for whatever comes, prepared for what lies ahead in the last days, but unbelief has bound them. And with that interpretation in mind and if you're saying I'm not sure if that's the correct interpretation, pastor, let the Holy Spirit reveal it to you during the message. Amen. But with that in mind, just listen to what this heart-wrenching description of the condition of God's people in the last days, the falling away of the church of the living God, still in Isaiah 51 and 18. There is none to guide her among all thy sons whom she hath brought forth, neither is there any that taketh her by the hand and all the sons that she hath brought up. Just stop there for a minute, zach. I pray this is resonating with you and what you just said, what you just brought forward.
Speaker 3:Two horrible things come upon the daughter of Zion. One is nobody came looking for her. Nobody came to see what her problem was. Nobody showed up. No one encouraged her to hold on. Just hang on, it'll be all right. Let me pray with you. Nobody did. She was absolutely alone. She saw no help in sight, no one to guide her or point her to a way of escape. How do we get out of this? To offer truth that would break every fetter, smash every chain? No one.
Speaker 3:And in this pitiful condition, hungry, unsatisfied, laying in the dust of the enemy, trampled by the enemy at his will, surrounded by a woke society and an anti-Christ media, religious institutions of worship, attainment, with displays of Snoopy at the Last Supper and a paragliding Easter bunny to kick off your service, with no truth being preached, no Holy Spirit allowed to guide, this daughter of Zion falls into a stupor, thinking what's the use? What's the use? And lethargy grips her. She is mentally and spiritually confused and she lays in the mud defenseless. Unless there was some kind of intervention, unless somebody showed up to show her the way, she would die like an animal in chains. She would die like an animal in chains Like Sam Kinison, like David Berg or today's modern church.
Speaker 3:But the real tragedy for this poor, enslaved daughter of Zion is she hadn't been captured Listen closely she hadn't been forced into this position. No one came and got her, no one took her captive, nor was she overcome by the power of sin. In fact, what do we know? We know it's impossible for sin to have dominion over a believer Not possible, can't happen. She willingly sold herself into slavery for nothing, for not, not, not. Hang on to that word. It's coming back.
Speaker 3:And if you're having trouble with this understanding of Zion as the modern church or you're wondering what Isaiah is talking about here and why we're bringing it out on this beautiful Sunday morning, why is this daughter of Zion so mistreated? Why has she found herself in this position? Let me share with you what the Holy Spirit gave me concerning this young woman. This beautiful woman represents a believer, she represents a preacher, she represents a teacher, a musician, a church who brings reproach on God's house by living a double life. And don't misunderstand what I'm saying here. I'm not pointing out a list of sins, or you know that's not where I go. She brought reproach on God's house by accepting a woke church, accepting a woke church and she often went to the altar, she often flooded it with tears, but nothing changed. Nothing changed. Everything stayed the same Preaching, teaching, witnessing, handing out tracts.
Speaker 3:But their souls are being drained by secret things, by unbelief, things that we are either unwilling to let go of or unbelief that we can't shake, a certain aspect of our faith that comes up short and we just can't shake it. Things that bind us and send us to the dirt of despair, writhing in guilt, walked on by the enemy, not knowing what or if we believe, or our lifestyle or our choices are condemning us. There can be no deliverance until we realize that we are that daughter of Zion, we are that woman crumpled up in the dirt whose robe is spattered and torn. And we need to admit I'm bound, I'm in shackles here. Yeah, I'm coming to church, I'm saying the right things, I'm doing what I consider the right things, but I'm bound and no one tells me how to be free. No one has told me how I could be free and I keep going back. I keep going back, time after time.
Speaker 3:How deceived the modern Christian is by sin. We need to ask how does that stupid sin help us? What good does it do. A few moments, a few hours of supposed pleasure, for what? For what? At what price? Causes sleepless nights, no peace, not to mention the physical toll on our mentality, on our bodies, and the guilt of grieving our Lord and the real possibility that is always right there that says we may never be free. We may never be free. But here's the thing you will know that you're on the road to victory. You'll know you're on that road when you can awaken to the truth. You'll know you're on that road when you can awaken to the truth when you don't cover it, when you don't justify it, when you awaken to the truth and shake yourself and know that sin, that unbelief, that any aspect of a lack of faith isn't worth it. It's a senseless dead end.
Speaker 3:Church for church's sake, don't bother, don't bother. I love having you all here, but if you're coming just to be in church, go play golf. And secondly, don't blame the devil. Don't blame the devil. Oh, the devil's been giving me fits. He's really been giving me a hard time. He's coming after you.
Speaker 3:When Isaiah talks about selling for not, it implies a loss of everything and, as I said, sin will eventually cost you everything, just as the daughter of Zion, lost her reputation, her family, her hopes. Worst of all, she lost her communion with God. Remember what we said Sin always takes you further than you wanted to go and keeps you longer than you wanted to stay, always, always. You probably remember Ted Haggard. Christian Coalition right 2006,. Mega church in the hundreds of thousands of members, beautiful family.
Speaker 3:Ted Haggard was exposed in drug use and an affair and a homosexual affair. He was bitter and lost. He was selling insurance, living in a motel, but in 2021, he started St James Church. Don't understand. I don't understand why people showed up, but they did by the hundreds. In 2022, he was accused of inappropriate behavior with young men in that church. He still has a ministry today. He still has a ministry today, but thankfully it only meets in his home with a few people, but I don't know what they're doing there either.
Speaker 3:But I think about his grieving over a one strong ministry and he sold out for naught. He sold out for nothing. I looked this up and the Hebrew word for naught in Isaiah is chinem. Chinem, that's something right in your margin chinem. And the reason I'm telling you to write it down is because here's what it means. Here's what it's interpreted as C-H-I-N-I-M. It means to stoop low to an inferior, to get on your knees before an inferior, to get on your knees before an inferior, to get on your knees before the devil and sell ourselves for nothing and we allow him to entrap, ensnare and enslave us. Keep this in mind.
Speaker 3:This daughter of Zion lays chained and broken in the mud. Not an unbeliever. She wasn't a child of the devil, but she is one who once swore by his name, the name of the Lord that has an I love you, I love my church sign in her yard. This is who she is. So how's that possible? How's that possible? She loves her church. She attends regularly, swore her love for God.
Speaker 3:Doesn't the Bible say that I've never seen the righteous forsaken nor God's seed begging for bread? Ah, there it is, and I struggled with this for hours, understanding how could this happen? If this is who she was, I've never seen the righteous forsaken nor God's seed begging for bread. How is this possible? Her faith was false. Her faith was fake. Her faith was fake Despite the church sign, despite the Christian statues, despite the Christian jewelry. She wore the Bible bag that had her name on it.
Speaker 3:She was not in righteous position. She said she followed the God of Israel. She trusted him, but she didn't. And according to Isaiah 48, god was saying and this is a paraphrase you're my child, I love you, I always will love you, but you've dealt treacherously with me, you've closed your ears, you've stiffened your neck, you've become a slave to sin After I set you free. My, look, I don't enjoy. Look, I don't enjoy preaching about sin, about the fallen state of the church. In fact I hate it. But if I'm not obedient, then I become a slave of Zion, a slave to tradition, a slave to church norms, a slave to the treachery that Isaiah talked about. And the church stumbles along. We just stumble along in our tradition, in our works and in our benevolent position, Bewildered, blinded and inching closer to falling into a drunken stupor, until we're lying in the gutter, stepped on by the devil.
Speaker 3:We sang a song last week that said I have a message for the devil, and you know where I wrote it. I wrote it on the bottom of my shoe. That's the position we should be in, amen, not the other way around. We end up in the gutter, being stepped on by the devil. If this message today and I pray it is if it's resonating with you, if it's convicting you, if you're taking this into your spirit.
Speaker 3:Before we're ready for deliverance, a couple things have to happen. Admit that we are chained by sin or unbelief, some level of a you might say, I believe some level of unbelief where you don't trust God and recognize that sin is worthless. Whether it's a sin of unbelief or a hidden sin or a secret sin, it's worthless. Isaiah 52 is a picture of our deliverance from sneaky, worthless sin, that we can have God's answer to all of our bondages, all of our slavery, and understand what sin is. And I say this all the time, but I don't think we can get it out of our Catholic minds that sin is some crazy list and we can classify them as being immortal. I think that's stuck in there somehow and that's not what sin is.
Speaker 3:Sin is sin is sin. It's anything that keeps you out of the will of God, anything that causes you to miss the mark, not that stupid list that we learned in catechism, not it. Hallelujah, listen to the words of your loving father. 52 again, just the first verse Awake, awake. Put on the strength, o Zion, put on thy beautiful garments, o Jerusalem, the holy city, for henceforth there shall no more come unto thee, the uncircumcised and the unclean. Notice someone who has dealt treacherously with God. Notice there's no rebuke. Huh, there is no condemnation, no removal of God's mercy. It's all still there. Just a response of encouragement, just encouragement.
Speaker 3:You know, I understand how alone we sometimes feel in our personal struggles, in what we're going through, what we're trying to be delivered from, trying to free ourselves from sin, trying to free ourselves from sin all alone. But the promise of God stands. The promise of God stands. Isaiah 49. 49, beginning with 13. Sing O heavens and be joyful O earth and break forth into singing O mountains, for the Lord has comforted his people and will have mercy upon his afflicted. But Zion said the Lord hath forsaken me and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child? But Zion said I just stopped there.
Speaker 3:I just want to focus on one particular point the walls. The walls that he's talking about, that he's joined with the walls. I need a couple of books, jeffy, you'll love this. But if you build a stone wall, kurt will love this too. You build a stone wall, you start out, you don't start out. You don't do it like that, because this part of the wall falls away, like that, because this part of the wall falls away right, or this part of the wall goes in. You do it like that.
Speaker 3:All right, the corner, what he's speaking of, the walls, they're joined together at the corner like that. That way this can't move, this can't move, neither side can move. It's strong, it's secure. That's the walls that Isaiah is talking about, joined like the corner of a wall. That's literally the interpretation of that verse Joined together like the corner of a wall. That signifies to us, to you and I, that God is joined with us in our struggle. He's joined with us in our struggle, making it strong, making it powerful. The walls that we cite we've said the walls are closing in on me. He's part of the wall too. Our God is part of that wall. There's no wall can close in on you. He's part of the wall. Sorry for the wall reference Makes sense to me, though. Hallelujah, hallelujah. He's joined to even the disobedient Like Jonah.
Speaker 3:You remember Jonah, like Jacob, like Sam Kinison, like David Berg. He knows our weakness, he bears our infirmity. He bears our infirmity. You know we've gone deep in studies in the past about Jonah, disobedient, even a little bit testy toward God, about his position and the whole whale thing and didn't like the idea, didn't want to go where God was sending him. But God was with him, was with him even in the belly of hell. He was with him.
Speaker 3:Jacob, an enslaved believer whose sin brought him to unbelievable lows, unbelievable difficulties that he tried to fight through on his own. Amen. And at Bethel, jacob God told him I'm with you, jacob, I've always been with you. Jesus told us, he'll never leave us, he'll never forsake us. Told Jacob the same thing, not a I'm with you, jacob. Jacob was a conniver, his name means con man, right. And he said I'm with you. Not a word of condemnation or rebuke. He told Jacob arise, get yourself up, go to Bethel, go back to your first love, go back to where you came from. He's telling us to go back to the day of our salvation, go back to where we were.
Speaker 3:Think about Peter. What could be more grievous than denying the Lord? Than denying the Lord, what could have gotten so deeply in Peter's psyche, in his mind, in his spirit, than he turned on Jesus? He turned on him. Poor cowardly Peter. After the resurrection, poor, or after the crucifixion, poor cowardly Peter, is out fishing, feeling guilt, feeling defeated, trying to do something to soothe his spirit. Don't we do that sometimes? You ever been there, it doesn't matter what it is, trying to distract yourself. Something familiar, cooking building. In Peter's case it was fishing. The one he denied is now waiting on the shore. The one he turned against that. He spit and swore that he didn't even know him. He's now on the shore.
Speaker 3:Jesus doesn't condemn Peter. He doesn't condemn him. He built the fire, he cooked some fish and he said hey, peter, come on eat. Come on, get something to eat. It'll do you good. And Peter just went. Jesus didn't say come and be judged. Yeah, well, I'll give you some fish, but you're going to get a little scolding. Not what he said. He said come and feast. Have you ever felt like you failed the Lord? Not calling anyone out, but even now, maybe you have a secret, maybe you have fallen to some level of unbelief, maybe you have perverted his grace and now you think he wants to punish you, that he's going to get revenge and you're like a slave in the dirt. You're crawling around in the mud.
Speaker 3:After Jesus fed Peter a sure lunch, he showed him the root of his problem. He showed him the crux of his problem. All right, finally we're going to get to the New Testament, john, john 21. And this is powerful John 21 and 15.
Speaker 3:So when they had dined, jesus said to Simon Peter Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him Yea, lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He said unto him Feed my lambs. And I know you've heard a ton of interpretations of that particular verse and heard it in countless sermons. Not saying any of them are wrong, but here's in essence what he said to Peter. He is in fact putting the ax to the root of the tree. Peter, I love you, I've forgiven you, I've forgotten. I have no guilt to put. Love you, I've forgiven you, I've forgotten. I have no guilt to put on you, I have no condemnation, but I'm concerned about your spiritual well-being going forward.
Speaker 3:You see, even before Peter's grievous denial of Christ, peter's bondage was pride. I think the chosen did it well. He was a fighter and a fisherman who skirted the law and got really close to the edge all the time. But he thought he was special, that he was prideful, he was pious, he was holy. Wisdom was his virtue. Character was the card he carried and handed it out to people If they had apostle cards. In his day, peter would have handed an apostle card out. Incidentally, if anybody ever hands you a business card that says apostle, on it, run Physical strength was his, was who he was. Remember when he said, though all others will fail you to Jesus, I will not, even to the death, and it was pretty cool.
Speaker 3:In the Chosen Day, jesus went back to calling him Simon, will you, will you, simon, will you Simon? He tried to prove it, his strength, his prowess, when he cut the Roman soldier's ear off. He believed. His love for Jesus surpassed all others. His love was more sincere, he was more zealous, he was more willing to do whatever needed done, and he felt he was more concerned with the kingdom of God than the other disciples. They didn't quite get it. Yeah, they loved Jesus, but he was more concerned with the kingdom, and the Lord, in his wisdom, allowed Peter's sin to serve a holy purpose. He will let a Christian's pride be severely tested when we think I'm above that, I'm past that, I'm better than that. He has to heal me. Here's what it says. You see, when we do that, our confidence is in ourselves, our confidence is in our interpretation, our confidence is in what we believe and we don't worship Forgive me, we don't worship the Bible, we worship Jesus. We need to remember that all the time. Yeah, this is the owner's manual, but we worship Jesus, but we worship Jesus.
Speaker 3:Peter was nearer when he was on that shore eating the lunch that Jesus prepared. He was nearer victory than when he thought of himself as a rock, when he proclaimed himself to be Jesus's right-hand man, the holy man of God. And Jesus said so do you still love me more than these? Wow, wow. So, peter, now, do you still love me more than the rest? Still love me more than the rest, right after making them lunch? Do you still love me more than all of these, peter? Now Peter could get on with business. Now he can move forward. He's good to go feeding God's sheep.
Speaker 3:And in this time of guilt and despair, jesus knew or Peter knew that Jesus stood with him, that he didn't forsake him, that he didn't turn away and that he showed his pure love, his mercy, his grace Not Peter's, jesus's. That's the message God delivers to believers in captivity, the message he delivered to Zion's captive daughter. All right back to Isaiah, and I'll hurry Isaiah 52 and 7. He poured all this in Kurt right after the pirate game on Friday night. I thought I had it secure. I thought the word was done for today.
Speaker 3:Pirates are over Time to go to bed. Nah, isaiah 52 and 7. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him. That bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace, that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation, that saith unto Zion, thy God reigns, your God reigns All who are bruised, all of us who are captive. The Lord is a comfort. He is our redeemer.
Speaker 3:Poor, captive daughter of Zion, awake, I still love you. You sold yourself for nothing, but you will be redeemed at no cost. At no cost, without price, freely, by grace. Your chains will fall off, your bounds will be broken, glory, you will again sing and shout for joy. You'll be given a new robe, clean and pure, white like snow. Every fetter will be broken and you will be fully restored Fully restored. If you're feeling bad for yourself, that you've kind of fallen away and there is no restoration, hear the word of the Lord. You will be fully restored. Don't care what your bondage might be or how far you've fallen. He's preparing you as a bride for his son.
Speaker 3:Shake yourself, rise from the dust, loose yourself. Church, nothing, nothing has a hold on you. You're free to walk away. You're free to walk away From every bondage, back into communion, back into a right relationship With God and return to your rightful place with Christ on the throne. My, my, my. Wake up, church. Wake up to who you are. You're saved and forgiven. Wake up to what you are. You're a child of the King.
Speaker 3:Glory. Shake off of those thoughts of I can't. I can't Get past those or I'm helpless against this chain. I don't have the willpower. You don't need any. You don't need any Glory. Sin has no dominion over you and if you're in bondage or unbelief, it's because you refuse to get up and walk away. Those bonds can be broken today. If any of this hit home with you like it did with me, has hit home with you like it did with me, those bonds can be broken today. Just get up and walk away and whatever you think has you, walk away, whatever thought process in your mind. Shake yourself, come and be healed. Hallelujah, rejoice. Sing the song of Zion Glory Awake, shake yourself.
Speaker 3:That's what the Isaiah passage is all about. Use what God's given you, get out of the dirt. You're redeemed. You're a prince and a princess. Shake off the weakness, the apathy, the unbelief that has gripped you from Monday through Saturday. You need not be chained one minute longer, not one minute longer. You're free. Take your freedom. I encourage you no, I beg you to walk away free. If something has you bound, a secret, an element of doubt or unbelief, get up and walk to the cross. That's where chains are broken, that's where every shackle and every fetter will fall. Amen, be free, be used and be blessed of God. If you're willing, he is able, I invite you to come forward this morning. Not going to anoint you specifically, just make that trip to the cross, to this cross, to any cross, and be free. Let Jesus have his way today. Hallelujah Aaron, would you press that? Give me that little bit of music in the bottom CD player. It should be ready to go it is beautiful.
Speaker 1:Here is love, vast as the ocean. Yes, lord, loving kindness as the ocean, loving kindness as the flood. When the prince of life, our grandson, shed for us his precious blood, who his love will not remember? Who can cease to sing His praise? He will never be forgotten throughout heaven's eternal days. On the mount of crucifixion, fountains open, deep and wide, through the flood, gates of God's mercy Float a vast and gracious tide. Grace and love like mighty rivers, poured, instead sent from above. Perfect justice kissed a guilty world in love. Here is love, vast as the ocean, loving kindness as the flood. When the prince of life, our ransom, shed for us His precious blood. Who his love will not remember? Who can cease to sing His praise? He will never be forgotten Throughout His eternal days.
Speaker 1:On the mount of crucifixion, fountains open, deep and wide. Through the gates of God's mercy Float a vast and gracious tide. Grace and love like mighty rivers, poured in sets. And from above, heaven's peace and perfect justice kissed. A guilty world in love, who His love will not remember and who can cease to sing His praise? Oh, he can never be forgotten Throughout his eternal days. Grace and love like mighty rivers, poured in steps and from above. Oh heaven's peace and perfect justice Kissed a guilty world in love.

Speaker 4:You know, the word great is a powerful word and we use it to describe many things it's a great day, it's a great friend, it's a great meal, and we say, oh, and God is great. But all of these common, ordinary, everyday things can't even be compared to the greatness of our God. This is what great is Our King, who reigns over all the earth clothed in royal majesty and glory, a God whose light dispels darkness when he speaks, a God who stands unmoved from age to age, holding and controlling time in his hand, the beginning and the end. Greatness is father, spirit, son working together with the greatness of a lion and the gentleness of a lamb. So let's sing this song and declare how great is our God.
Speaker 1:The splendor of the King Clothed in majesty. Let all the earth rejoice. All the earth rejoice. He wraps himself in life and darkness tries to hide, but trembles at his voice, trembles. Come on church, let's sing it. How great is our God? Sing with me how great is our God, and all will see how great, how great is our God. Let's sing it again. Sing it again. How great is our God? Let's sing it again. Sing it again.

Yes, lord, oh, and time is in his hand, beginning and the end. Beginning and the end.
