End of the Road

Pastor Bob Ezatoff Season 2 Episode 16

Have you ever felt that God has abandoned you just when you needed Him most? The Biblical account of the road to Emmaus might be the perfect mirror for your spiritual journey.

In this powerful exploration of Luke 24:13-35, we discover two disciples walking away from Jerusalem—away from the very place where God's promises were being fulfilled—on the first Resurrection Sunday. Like many of us, Cleophas and his companion couldn't wait another day to see if Jesus would keep His promise to rise again. When expectations weren't immediately met, they headed back to the familiar, to what they used to know.

What's striking is that Jesus didn't wait for them to figure it out. Fresh from conquering death, He made finding these disappointed believers His priority. He pursued them on their journey away from promise, yet "their eyes were holden that they should not know him." How often do we fail to recognize Jesus walking beside us through our disappointments?

The message reveals profound truths about perspective in our spiritual journey. We don't always recognize God's hand in real-time—it's usually in retrospect that we see how He was working. A true blessing isn't getting the outcome we want, but having the spiritual contentment to say "it is well with my soul" regardless of circumstances.

Perhaps most comforting is the realization that sometimes what we interpret as an ending is actually a beginning. What looks like defeat may be the seedbed of victory. What feels like absence may be God working in ways we cannot yet perceive. The end of your road might be exactly where you finally see Him clearly.

Whether you're feeling lost, disappointed, or uncertain about God's presence in your life, this message offers a fresh perspective on how Jesus pursues us even when we're headed in the wrong direction. Listen now and discover how to recognize Him walking beside you today.

Speaker 1:

But not because of you, but because he is good and you will not have room to receive it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, woo oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

Hello, welcome to Valley Gospel Church. We are a non-denominational Pentecostal church located in Springdale, pennsylvania. Our sole mission is to present the living truth of a risen Lord Jesus Christ to a remnant church and a lost world.

Speaker 3:

Let's get into the service recorded live at Valley Gospel Church. The Lord's given me a word today. I don't deserve to receive to share with you, but I will. You know, I was so inspired by Daniel's Resurrection Sunday message and he touched on a post-resurrection meeting that Jesus had. That Jesus had and one that I've been studying literally for weeks. There's so many meetings that Jesus had after he resurrected from the dead Mary Magdalene, thomas, really all the disciples, peter but one in particular, I believe, encapsulates modern Christianity, or at least that's the way the Holy Spirit revealed it to me.

Speaker 3:

It happens on the road to Emmaus we're introduced to Cleophas and his companion. We're not told who the companion is. Some speculate that it was his wife or a brother or someone else, but they're leaving Jerusalem having witnessed the crucifixion of Jesus. Having witnessed the crucifixion of Jesus, they're leaving on Sunday morning and that's important to the context of this message. Their destination is Emmaus. Emmaus is about seven miles outside of Jerusalem and you know it's really interesting today in Israel, if you ask where is Emmaus, they're not sure it was such a small village. They point to a place where they think it may have been, but there's nothing left and they say we think Emmaus was there, but no one knows for sure.

Speaker 3:

Christy, let's go to work On the road to Emmaus. We see, or you will see, today, uncertainty, doubt, fear, disappointment, pain, but you'll also see a brand new revelation, an expose of truth that I believe will be not just familiar but enlightening in our life. So if you'll turn with Chrissy, please, to Luke 24. Luke 24 will begin with the 13th through the 21st verse Luke 24, 13.

Speaker 4:

And behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about three score furlongs, and they talked together all of these things which had happened. And it came to pass that, while they communed together and reasoned, jesus himself drew near and went with them, but their eyes were holden that they should not know him. And he said unto them what manner of communications are these that you have one to another as you walk and are sad? And one of them, whose name was Cleopas answering, said unto him Are you only a stranger in Jerusalem and have not known the things which are come to pass therein these days? And he said unto them, what things? And they said unto him, concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty indeed and word before God, and all the people, and how the chief of priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death and have crucified him. Wow, and beside all this, today is the third day since these things were done. Wow.

Speaker 3:

My subject two weeks ago was the end of your faith. The subject this morning is the end of the road. Amen, let's pray, heavenly Father. We thank you, lord, for this glimpse of a time of an Easter season, a Passover season. Lord, that you reveal your truth and your word to us. Lord, thank you, lord. Open our ears that we might receive of you. Help me to rightly divide your word of truth In Jesus' holy name. Amen and amen. Please be seated.

Speaker 3:

In the last two messages, good Friday and Easter Sunday, we heard the sometimes complicated understanding of the simplicity of the gospel and I meant to say it just like that, the sometimes complicated simplicity of the gospel. And we read about the hours leading up to the crucifixion, the pain that Jesus bore, the sin that he took upon himself, that Jesus bore, the sin that he took upon himself, the agony of the cross, the burial. Then, on Sunday, we see the early morning hours, the revelation of the resurrection, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the empty tomb, the angel guards Jesus asking why do you seek the living among the dead? What do you want? What are you doing here To the hours following and our central character in today's message Cleophas.

Speaker 3:

Cleophas and his companion were headed away from Jerusalem On Sunday morning, headed away from Jerusalem. Jerusalem was where everything was happening. It was the epicenter, the epicenter of an event that would change human history Jerusalem. But Cleophas was headed the wrong way, he was moving in the wrong direction and the resurrected Jesus caught up with them as they were going the wrong way. Jerusalem, where the promise of the Holy Spirit was to come, where followers and believers and apostles and disciples were all together, together, daily, in one accord, until that day, they would receive the promise of the Father and they would begin a ministry that would stand the test of time Christianity. But Cleophas and his companion and that's all we're told were believers. They had come to see Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem. But here, on Sunday morning, they're headed the wrong direction. They began this journey heralding Jesus as King of Kings journey, heralding Jesus as king of kings. They began their journey with calls to the new king of Israel, with palm branches waving, and now, seven miles down the road outside of Jerusalem, at first the Bible says they didn't recognize him, they didn't know who it was. Many teachers, if you read about that, this passage, there are teachers that say it's because Jesus' countenance was different, his looks had changed or there was some supernatural happening that was going on at the time.

Speaker 3:

But let me present a possibility that I believe the Lord has given me. The Lord has given me that, you and I, in a struggle, a crisis, we don't see him all the time while he's working in our lives. We don't recognize what he's doing. In our lives it's usually well, no, don't correct me if I'm wrong, but later you can correct me if you think I'm wrong. It's usually looking back in retrospect that we see the hand of God in our lives. We see what he's done. Don't recognize him at the time. You know. We finally recognize that job opening or that business opportunity, or that money, that medical solution, was the hand of God, and I know many of you can relate to that. Many of you can relate to that.

Speaker 3:

Now Cleophas makes the journey to the place that he could call an end to his hope. Think about that. He could realize this dream that he had, that he made this trip to Jerusalem for was over. It was over. I don't know, maybe he thought I knew this was too good to be true. He could now decide that the promises were in fact not real, because he's at the end of the road, he recognizes Jesus, who he had seen killed, and he knows who he is. I know I'm jumping ahead, but 33.

Speaker 3:

And they rose up the same hour and returned to Jerusalem and found the eleven gathered together and them that were with them, saying the Lord is risen, indeed, and hath appeared to Simon. They get up, they return to Jerusalem, where Jesus died, where the Holy Spirit is promised to come. They find the 11 apostles assembled together and they say it's true, the Lord is risen, he really has. He's appeared to Simon and the two told them what happened on the way to Emmaus. They recognized him at a specific point, 35. And they told what things were done in the way and how he was known of them, in breaking of bread. So they stop for lunch, for a snack, for dinner, but they recognize him with the breaking of bread. And that will come into play a little farther along in this message of bread. And that'll come into play a little farther along in this message.

Speaker 3:

While they are talking about this, in Jerusalem, sharing experiences and such so many things are going on here. This is this epicenter. So many things are happening. God is revealing himself in conversation, in activity. Jesus himself stands in the midst of the 11. And again I realize I'm going ahead. But he stands in the midst of 11 and said unto them peace be unto you, peace be unto you, peace be unto you. These disciples, these 11, everything's going on, everything's happening. They're getting record that, or getting accounts that Jesus is raised. But they were fearful, they were afraid. They were afraid, they were uncertain and Jesus said peace, peace. I believe there's a really unusual revelation in that greeting peace because they weren't feeling it. They weren't feeling it. It's kind of like when you face something really hard or it's going to hurt really bad, and somebody says, oh, it'll be all right. Yeah, that's easy for you to say, it'll be all right, I'm the one that's going to do it. They weren't feeling it, they didn't understand it.

Speaker 3:

We went on years ago, went on a fishing trip, a fly-in fishing trip to northern Canada, thunder Bay, flew into I think there were three or four lakes that were there, one was brook trout and one was walleyes and one was and they would drop you off in the float plane and you'd stay in this little tent, camp tent. Cabin Lake was all yours, nobody else there, nothing there but your canoe, and they would leave you for a week. The Land of the Midnight Sun. I thought that was just a pretty cool name. I thought that's what they called it, but there was meaning there.

Speaker 3:

Our practice Kurt was in fishing was that we would fish from sunup until sundown. There was no shore lunch, there was no breaks, there was no. You fished from sunup until you couldn't see. But what we didn't know was that sundown was at 2 am and sunup was before 5 am. And no, we didn't have watches. There was no such thing. What are you looking? If I'd have shown Billy my watch, he'd have took it off me and thrown it in the lake. You don't need that. So we were only getting two hours of sleep a night. So by the middle of the week we're all exhausted and cranky and crabby. But the next time we went we understood we have taken afternoon nap fish in the morning, fish at night.

Speaker 3:

Such an appropriate illustration, I believe, for what I'm trying to get across. It's about perspective. Perspective. My brother told me yesterday you'll appreciate this, kurt he discovered ramen noodles and he thinks this is the greatest thing that he has ever found. 32 cents, he told me 32 cents, I can make ramen noodles. I don't know why you go out and buy beef or go out to dinner 32 cents. I can buy ramen noodles and that's what it was. It was a little whack at me that I'll spend money on food and 32 cents and I said you know what, bill? I said why will you spend $19.95 on a three-pack of Gimatsu fishhooks $20 for three fishhooks? Well, that's important. I said so.

Speaker 3:

Then it's perspective Perspective. We thought we were fishing for 10 and 12 hours a day, but we were really fishing for 20 hours a day and didn't realize it until we gained perspective. And looking back, you can see why everybody was tired and irritable and falling asleep in the boat. But we see that same perspective. I didn't mean to take you on that fishing journey, but I was hoping it would be a good illustration. We see that same perspective in the cross of Christ and in the resurrection. And you know, I wonder, I wonder if maybe that's why Christians are moved to attend church.

Speaker 3:

We learn from experience or we teach from experience, perspective, and that's what's so powerful about our God, that's what's so powerful. While we may not see his truth during the first experience, we learn from that experience, we gain perspective, we know what he can do in the second one or in subsequent ones. You understand what I'm trying to explain. We see where he intervened in the first one. He's an ever-present help in time of trouble. Now we've gained supernatural perspective Because Jesus is already there.

Speaker 3:

He's already been there. I don't mean I'm trying not to sound spooky-booky here. He's already been there. He speaks to our situation, whatever we find ourselves in. He speaks to that from outside of any constraint from time, from location, from history. You see, god isn't worried about world affairs, he's not worried about Russia, ukraine. He's not worried about what's going on in Israel. He's not anxious about the economy, he's not concerned with our health concerns. The God, who is and was and is to come, speaks back. Speaks back from the future into our today, knowing what's already happened. Hallelujah, hallelujah. He gives you and I the ability to face the future and today with confidence, with faith. My All right, here it comes. I said I knew you were going to turn negative on me, not really.

Speaker 3:

Not really on me, not really. If we really believe our God has our future secure in his hand, if we really believe that, that your eternity is safe with him, wouldn't we rest well, wouldn't we sleep well, wouldn't be looking at our phone at 3 am flipping through things because we have to keep and it's really because we can't sleep, if you really believed in the resurrection, knowing that it's not just us but it's our concerns. In other words, we'll be resurrected to newness of life, not just in the hereafter, not just in eternity, but here and now resurrected to newness of life. So, along this seven-mile stretch of road to Emmaus, where Jesus, early Sunday morning, gets up from the grave, not too long out of the grave, and chases down two unknown, never before mentioned, and only one of them is mentioned now Cleophas chases them down because they're going the wrong way. Just out of the grave, got to go get Cleophas. He brings them to a place of understanding about who he is, where he is, even though they have turned their backs on the promise.

Speaker 3:

Believers remember they're believers. They turn their back on the promise. Believers remember they're believers. They turn their back on the promise, the place. They're discouraged, they're disheartened. They're going away from Jerusalem, away from the promise. Their hearts are broken, headed back to where they. You remember my word right, eusta U-S-T-A? They're going back to where they used to live, not just a physical place.

Speaker 3:

But Cleophas and his companion are going back to a state of mind and this might sound odd to you, in my message that I'm bringing this message, that I would say this, but I get it. I get what Cleopas and his companion were thinking, why they wanted to get out of there. They saw him die. They saw him die. They saw him die. They watched from a distance as he was being taken down from the cross and he was dead. Everything they heard maybe heard preached, heard from the disciples, the testimonies of all he did and could do, the promises that were made, but they saw him die. So, spiritually speaking, to Cleophas and his companion, and probably many more To Cleophas and his companion and probably many more, these are just singled out for this historical account in the Bible. To Cleophas and his companion, there was no future, there was no hope. So, in fact, there's no faith. They're broken. They're broken. And you know one of the focuses that the Lord gave me 15, 16, whenever we opened in.

Speaker 3:

Harmerville was. One of the focuses of Valley Gospel Church was to find and minister to those with a crisis of faith, that have fallen away, that had a loss of hope, and restore them to a fresh vision, a new look at the cross, a fresh fire. Cleophas and his partner are the epitome of this crisis of faith. Jesus finds them, doesn't identify himself right, and he asked the question and I read this a thousand times and I find this so curious. He asked the question. We often refer to Jesus as the answer. The answer asked the question Did he need input? Did he need information? Was he conducting a survey and seeking results? And here's what the Lord showed me Sometime before the answer can come, the Holy Spirit has to correct your question. I can see now. The last five messages surround this whole premise of answers and questions, and I shared with you in the past, in my personal life, if I had asked the wrong question or prayed the wrong prayer, because I prayed from my mind instead of being spirit-led and I needed correction before I could move forward, before I could go on. In other words, he had to clarify my search. Hmm, an example. He had to clarify my search. An example. Now I'll ask you to listen closely. We ask God's blessing in our situation and I wonder if we really know what that means, what a blessing is. Maybe we say Lord bless me in this business and we think that means prosper. Or Lord, bless me in this relationship and that means bring a guy or a girl into my life, or bless me in this health issue and heal me, or an issue keeping me from what I want. Take it away, lord, remove it. What I think I need, what I feel I need, and we confuse blessing with a thing, with a substance, with a. We confuse blessing with an outcome. But really, you know what a blessing is? A blessing is the state of our spirit to be content with, whatever the outcome is. That's a blessing. That's a blessing. That's a blessing. It's a blessing to say it is well with my soul. That's the blessing. Notice, jesus doesn't tell Cleophas he's Alpha and Omega. He's walking along this dirt road. He doesn't tell him that he's the beginning and the end. He doesn't tell him that he's the beginning and the end. He doesn't tell him that he's the way and the truth and the light. He doesn't tell him that he's Messiah, lord and King. He simply asks the question. And here's the question. So what are you guys talking about? That's the question he asks them. What are you guys talking about? That's the question he asked them. What are you guys talking about? My, my, my, my, my. They stop.

Speaker 3:

The feeling of dejection that maybe had waned a little bit from this journey now gets a fresh burst of energy and they're feeling bad again and the reality of the death, of what they had hoped would be freedom, and it's now freshly stepped on by this stranger in the road and they're cast into hopelessness and they're cast into hopelessness. They're standing on that road to Emmaus, right next, listen, right next to hope, yet they're hopeless. They're shoulder to shoulder with truth, yet they're feeling deceived. How can that be? They're standing there with all power, yet they feel so weak, so done over, and they're heading back to familiar, heading back where they used to be, what they used to do and what they used to be. And the answer, the answer to Jesus' question. They tell him well, we're talking about this guy. Talking about this guy Don't know how, you don't know how. You didn't hear. You're only a short distance.

Speaker 3:

We thought he was the Messiah, we thought he was the sovereign Lord of glory. Imagine that Sam telling Jesus, about Jesus revealing the gospel to the gospel, sharing the word with the word. My, we thought, we thought I love that. We thought we thought he was the one we thought it. But on Friday it. We thought we thought he was the one we thought it. But on Friday it all ended. It was all stripped away, it all disappeared with a statement Father, into your hands, I commend my spirit. It began with Judas, the high priest, pilate, herod. Then they hung him on the cross, they killed him and our hope was killed with him. We thought he would redeem us, we thought he would break our chains, we thought he would deliver us and heal us and cure us. We went to Jerusalem expecting victory and we were served defeat. They were headed back to hopelessness. But Chrissy, hope showed up. Hope showed up but they couldn't see it. They couldn't see it.

Speaker 3:

Sometimes life hits us pretty hard, really hard, out of the blue, it seems, and you know, if you're serving the Lord, maybe you feel I don't know what to do. So some of us turn back to our old ways, back to old lifestyles, back to old thinking. Familiar ways actually are familiar spirits, albeit with a religious twist, and some give up on the whole thing, turn our backs on the promise, head back to Emmaus at the end of the road. On Sunday, on Sunday, on Sunday, that's what sticks in my head. That's the surprising part. The part I don't quite get is, throughout Jesus' ministry on earth, throughout his preaching speaking, what he told his preaching speaking, what he told his disciples, he said countless times yeah, look, I'm going to die, but three days later I'm coming back. Three days later I'll arise, kill this body. Three days I'll raise it back up, destroy this temple. On the third day I'll raise it Right. Taught that all the time. I'll go to the ground for just a little bit, just a minute, but I'll be back, hallelujah.

Speaker 3:

Wouldn't you think Cleophas and his partner would stick around at least till Monday to see what was going to happen? That's what I don't get. Wouldn't you stick around at least till Monday afternoon? Let it play out, let's be sure, sure, maybe, maybe, maybe in my consternation, my anger over why they left, why they would leave, the Lord pointed out to me maybe that's the church's problem today. We want it now and maybe we're taught that. I don't know. Maybe it's ingrained in our messages, in our life, that you can come in one way and everything will be taken away and you'll be good to go. And maybe in life, in religion or an amalgam of instant gratification and that's kind of crept into the church, don't you think? We don't want to be patient anymore and we quit so quick. We quit so quickly, maybe when we're so close to understanding or we're so close to victory, we quit so close to a deliverance and we turn away.

Speaker 3:

Just a really quick review of that first Resurrection Sunday. Jesus comes out of the grave early Sunday morning while it's still dark. He appears to some women. They go back and tell the disciples Jesus isn't there, he's risen, just like he said. The disciples say come on, come on, who are you talking to? Emotional women it seems to me that women are a little more spiritually connected and in tune than men. Shout out to double X chromosomes Huh, cleophas and his friend say it's over and they start back to Emmaus.

Speaker 3:

Sometimes we can't wait for a closing prayer, for church to be over, because I've got lots to do and I've got and I've got. Where do you have to go? Where do you have to go that we might miss something? Great Cleophas was leaving right at the time, right at the time that the work of the cross was being proven. It was just being proven in Jerusalem what Jesus had accomplished on the cross. But Jesus goes and gets him. He goes and gets him to see the revelation of the cross, the resurrection. You know, last Sunday Daniel's message, the revelation, the power of God to all that believe.

Speaker 3:

Jesus sidles up to Cleophas on the road. What are you guys talking about? What are you guys talking about? Never mind that he was God. What are you guys talking about? Never mind that he was just resurrected after three days dead. What are you guys talking about? Never mind that he was just resurrected after three days dead. What are you guys talking about? Never mind that he is the creator of the universe and everything that was made was made by him.

Speaker 3:

He's still this sandal-wearing, long-haired, bearded man from Galilee and he shows up on this road walking with two strangers. You know, sometimes we think his appearance in our life, in our situation, will be, has to be, a spectacle. There has to be fireworks and lights and thunder. Or it's not God or it's not help, but most times he's just there. He's just there. No advance notice, no text message, no email, no fanfare, no lights, no trumpet. All of a sudden he's walking with Cleopas, just shows up on the road and let me ask all of you a question what makes you think he's not walking beside you today? What makes you think you have to petition him from somewhere else? That he's not already walking beside you? Even when you don't recognize him, even when you don't feel him, it doesn't mean he's not there, it doesn't mean that at all.

Speaker 3:

On the cross, jesus won the battle, but all Cleophas saw was death. But Jesus didn't succumb to death. He pursued it and defeated it, hallelujah. Indeed. That's why the Bible says O grave, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting? It doesn't appear always the way we think. That's how God works, that's how the Lord works, that's how the Holy Spirit works. He'll send a blessing into your life that doesn't look like a blessing. You don't recognize it at first. Healing that doesn't seem like a healing. You know, some of the most spiritually enlightening times in our life might seem like the hardest times that you have ever gone through, but they opened so many doors and gave you a revelation of truth that will last forever. You know, on the cross Jesus said it is finished, tetelestai. But Cleophas took it as we have a very different understanding of that word today, but Cleophas took it as it's over, we're done.

Speaker 3:

They didn't see it till the end of the road. Walked seven miles, didn't see him till the end of the road. It isn't until he breaks the bread at the lunch that they start to see. He calls their attention to scripture, as we do during the Lord's Supper. Didn't you understand that the Messiah's body would have to be broken? Didn't you know that this is what had to take place before he could enter his glory? You see, glory doesn't look like glory while it's coming, while it's on the way. It's sloppy and it's messy and it's painful. Glory only becomes glory when it gets here, not until we get to the end of the road.

Speaker 3:

When they saw it was Jesus in that broken body, in the breaking of the bread, in the suffering, in the pain, in the humiliation, these two turn around and start to head back to Jerusalem. They want to go back to the epicenter now, where all the power was, where all the glory was, where the presence of God was. Maybe, maybe today let me share this with you Maybe today is your turnaround day, your turnaround day. You've reached the end of your road. And now you see him. Now you see him clearly and it's time to see Jesus in our life, in our trials, in whatever we face, whatever we're going through, wherever we are. And his promises are true. They may not come as we expect. Quit trying to put them in a box, or put parameters or guide rails on him. He is a sovereign God. He'll do what he wants. Amen, hallelujah, or guide rails on him. He is a sovereign God. He'll do what he wants. Don't make it be as we suppose it'll happen.

Speaker 3:

Last Thursday I spent the morning on the tractor. Ted and I were working together. I gave him that little whack on his head pushing soil around. Had a routine doctor's appointment in Oakmont just to follow up at 2 pm. Everything went well. At the appointment. She told me everything looked fine, but let's check your heart. I don't need to check my heart. She listened and told me it didn't sound right.

Speaker 3:

First time the Lord showed up. That was the first time. She said let's do an EKG right here in the office and after looking at the results, she said you really need to go to the ER right now. But being the medical expert that I am, especially in cardiology. I said I'll be fine, be fine. I started from home and she called and said look, your heart rate is triple what it should be, the upper chamber isn't beating, it's shaking rather than beating and I needed to get to the ER. Now I'd like to tell you that I heeded her advice, but actually I heeded Arabelle's advice the second time the Lord showed up.

Speaker 3:

They were waiting at the ER, a group of six great people all women, by the way Another shout out to estrogen. They slapped me on the table and in a moment I had tubes and wires everywhere to monitor and get my heart rate back down, which they did a few hours later. Back down, which they did a few hours later. I said, yay, let's go home. Not so fast, buddy, your upper chamber still isn't beating, you're staying and tomorrow we're going to put a scope down your throat, into your stomach, have a look around, make sure there are no blood clots, and then we're going to give you a shock to put your heart back in rhythm. They did tell me at the very end of the night I don't know, 2 am that there's a slight chance very slight that your heart will regulate on its own, but not likely. So we're going to ask you not to eat anything from now until whenever. We do this, trying to remain confident and prayerful, I listened to all our podcasts overnight and it seemed to me that every time I would finally fall asleep, they wanted blood Vampires everywhere.

Speaker 3:

At noon the next day they came and told me huh, your heart regulated itself. The third time he showed up Amen, and it was probably cardiologist told me it was probably the three days of 85 degree temperatures, all the caffeine I drank and no water that sent my heart into this irregular rhythm. And I told them Curtis, I've been doing this all my life. They said not in your 70s, you haven't. And I said I get it, I get it. At noon wires were unplugged, tubes were unhooked and I was home Friday night still trying to get some of the pads glued to my chest off. Today they hurt so bad.

Speaker 3:

Got to share the podcast with some who attended to me. Fourth time the Lord showed up. Steph told me yesterday. She said the listen rate to the podcast on Friday. She said it's through the roof. I said that was me. That was me. I left it on a loop and just let it run. At one point during the night I heard Daniel preaching and I said what's he doing here? My point in sharing this is that we sometimes go through some things, some unpleasant things, some hard things. Some unpleasant things, some hard things. But looking back, looking back, I can see each and every time the Lord intervened and emerged as he intended, even though it wasn't as I would have had it, I would have made it much different. Hallelujah, I appreciate and covet all of your prayers. Hallelujah, I appreciate and covet all of your prayers. Jesus was there, amen. Thank you so much for listening.
