Valley Gospel
The Final Shaking
God is raising up a remnant church in the midst of global turmoil and religious compromise. This powerful message explores the emergence of believers who are no longer satisfied with shallow Christianity but are desperately hungry for authentic spiritual reality.
The dichotomy in today's church landscape is striking – while many are falling away from faith, others are gathering with unprecedented spiritual hunger. This isn't coincidental but biblically prophesied. The remnant church rejects the "worshiptainment" culture, shallow celebrity gospel, and religious performance that has left so many feeling spiritually malnourished.
Drawing from Haggai's prophecy of a final shaking, the message reveals how God is removing everything false, sensual, and manufactured from His church. The tremors of this divine sifting process are already being felt as religious systems prove unable to withstand cultural pressures and spiritual testing.
Most remarkably, when Jesus is held in greatest contempt by the world – when biblical values are scorned and ridiculed – true Christians will demonstrate their most passionate devotion. While religious institutions compromise to maintain relevance, authentic believers will stand with unflinching courage.
Are you experiencing an unexplained spiritual restlessness? Do you sense God calling you beyond religious routines into deeper reality? This divine stirring invites you to yield everything you consider important and embrace a faith where nothing is too precious to surrender for Christ.
As new believers emerge from campus revivals and spiritual awakenings, the urgent question becomes: where will they find sound discipleship in a landscape of compromised teaching? The call to spiritual maturity and biblical fidelity has never been more crucial than in this prophetic moment of separation and preparation.
But not because of you, but because he is good and you will not have room to receive Him. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, Woo, oh yeah.
Speaker 2:Hello, welcome to Valley Gospel Church. We are a non-denominational Pentecostal church located in Springdale, Pennsylvania. Our sole mission is to present the living truth of a risen Lord Jesus Christ to a remnant church and a lost world. So let's go into the service recorded live at Valley Gospel Church.
Speaker 3:I believe and I'm sure you do as well, watching and hearing what God is doing across this globe that he's doing something really profound, that there is something amazing happening in the world right now. And, on one hand, while I want him to return today, on the other hand I want to see this. I want to see because I feel so privileged, so honored to be alive, hopefully, in this time of what's happening A remnant church, raised up for a time such as this, such as this, a church tired of the status quo, a church that's tired of religion, that's tired of a fleshly world system, that has been forced on and now being embraced by what we recognize as the worldly church, embraced by today's church leadership. And this church is not. This remnant church is not merely hungry for his presence and his word, but desperate for his word. I hear it, I hear it in your cries Desperate for his word. And that's what it's about the church we witnessed for the last 25 hours on gather.
Speaker 3:You could sense there has to be something more than church as usual. There has to be something more. The bigness, the sensational worldliness has left the church dry and kind of going through the motions, and children of God, true children of God are demanding more. More more than worshiptainment, more than big and showy or small and intimate. More More than positive confession or affirmation, more than a feel-good sermon or a shallow celebrity gospel. Oh, did you hear that one? He accepted Jesus. Did you hear the country star? We need and we demand deeper values, deeper revelation, heartfelt confession and repentance and a deeper understanding of who God is and what he wants for us in this time and place. We need worship that touches the throne, a message of hope, absolutely, but a message addressing the times we live in, where we're at, on the world stage and on the calendar. See, we're in search of spotless robes of righteousness. I don't care what degree I have or what my title is. When he comes, I'm in search. I want to see Jesus, I want to see him. I want to experience his limitless mercy and grace. I want to see his awesome power. Chrissy, chrissy, power, chrissy. It's interesting, in the interest of being a little more non-traditional, this morning I failed to call Chrissy with scripture and I'm asking the Lord is this what you want? Is this what you want? And my text goes off and it's Chrissy saying do I have a scripture for tomorrow? And for a moment. I looked at it and the Lord spoke to me and said why do you think I had her text? You, I see it and sense it everywhere.
Speaker 3:Christians searching for reality instead of religion. And look, I understand, you see those that come in and out and they're here for a Sunday or two and then they go away. They're in search for the truth, but this reality is a little bit too much. Don't lose heart. Don't lose hope. There is hope that they're coming back. But these are believers, true believers, remnant believers that Colette speaks about. These aren't just people that are weeping at the altar. They're weeping in Eaton Park and Denny's. They're in the parking lot, praying for people in the driveway before we leave, demanding more depth, demanding more, something that the message, the spirituality, be more current, more revelation from their pulpit. Quit giving me the same old story over and over More truth, more reality, more revelation. And if these leaders, if our church leaders today, pastors, teachers, whatever, aren't giving the depth that's being demanded, they'll either look elsewhere or they'll fall away. So if you'll turn with Chrissy, please, to the Old Testament book of Haggai, haggai 2. Haggai 2. 2, beginning with verse 5, 5 through 9.
Speaker 2:According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so my spirit remains among you. Fear ye not, for thus, saith the Lord of hosts, yet once it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens and the earth, and the sea and the dry land, I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come and I will fill this house with glory. Saith the Lord of hosts, the silver is mine and the gold is mine. Saith the Lord of hosts, silver is mine and the gold is mine. Saith the Lord of hosts, the glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former. Saith the Lord of hosts, and in this place will I give peace. Saith the Lord of hosts.
Speaker 3:Amen, amen, let's pray, heavenly Father. Thank you, lord. Thank you, lord, for this time. Thank you for this awesome privilege that you have put on. Thank you, lord. Thank you, lord, for this time. Thank you for this awesome privilege that you have put on your children here. Lord, that we might lead others to you. Lord, that we might give them the truth and the gospel. Lord, I ask your anointing on everything that's said and done today. It is in your name we pray. Amen and amen. Please be seated In today's religious system I'll call it that especially in the denominational world.
Speaker 3:But independents are kind of joining in this. Those that hold outreaches, small gatherings, have services every Sunday, are filling arenas. Many, if not most, have gotten off track of true spirituality, doing kingdom work in our own power that isn't how it was intended to be or focusing on building or satellite churches or bigger or more. You know, if you ask and I've done this if you ask pastors and church leaders how many are being saved in your church, or how many in repentance, or baptism, water baptism, how many being baptized in the Holy Ghost, you'll get a blank stare. You'll hear about a play. They have a concert, they're having a new building, a new program, but rarely will you hear about people being saved, about a commitment to Christ or a move of the Spirit, a healing, a deliverance.
Speaker 3:Earthly values have replaced spiritual ones, even by well-meaning pastors and leaders. You know, we get caught up. We get caught up in the religion. And the issue in my heart, and why it's so detrimental to the remnant church, is, by and large, christians have been duped to look to church leaders, been duped to look to church leaders, to look to pastors and priests and reverends and deacons and popes and pontiffs to fill that void, that spiritual void in our life that, quite frankly, only the Holy Ghost can fill. We look to a pastor as an informed voice or somebody who had the schooling or as a mentor because they have walked this mile, or someone to look.
Speaker 3:And maybe you're thinking, and I know that the majority of the church thinks that that's a leader's job, that's what a church leader is supposed to do, that's what a pastor or a priest is do, is supposed to do, and I'm here to tell you this morning that's convoluted, that's misinterpreted job description, that's not what we're here to do. And don't misunderstand, I hope that I can call all of you friend or brother or sister, or listener or confident, but that's not what I'm called to. That's not what any pastor's called to do. I'm called as pastor, teacher, to study, to show myself approved, a workman who needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. That's my calling. To humble myself and hear from heaven. That's my job. And to deliver unto the saints, not something you'll be.
Speaker 3:I heard one of the speakers on Gather that said when we become saints, you're your saint. And to deliver unto the saints that which was delivered to them by the apostles, that's what I'm called to do. To bring you the truth, because why the truth sets free Glory. I've been called to protect and defend this pearl of great price, not to debate it with you, but to proclaim it. This is the word of God, hallelujah. And again, just to tell you how the flesh gets involved. Some of you will understand this, but you know I'm preparing for this Sunday and I knew the Lord. The direction that he wanted was out of the ordinary and I thought, okay, no message. And the Holy Spirit said to me it's the truth, it's the word that sets free. You got to bring the word. The word sets free.
Speaker 3:I wonder how many pastors, teachers, today standing before Christ, and everyone will. Everyone will stand before Christ. One way or another we will stand before him. I wonder how many pastors and teachers will be able to look into those eyes of fire on that judgment day. How many will be able to look into those eyes? Look, there is no self-appointed guru, no prophet, no Christian mentor, no cell group, no pastor, no teacher, no spiritual covering, no strong will, no ego, no desire to be popular. There is none that has any sway with Almighty Christ, none. They won't be able to stand that revelation gaze of Jesus Christ, the altogether lovely one, my, the fairest of 10,000, alpha Omega, beginning and end.
Speaker 3:So, at this particular point in time, with all that's going on in the world and in the church as well, in the world and in the church as well. You know, the church is really an interesting dichotomy because we see this gathering happening but we also see a falling away. You notice every time. If you watched any of Gather, you noticed they talked about. Well, people say the church is losing numbers. They are, but I don't know if they realize that that's scriptural, that's biblical. There will be a falling away and a coming together at the same time. And if that isn't foretelling of the times we live in.
Speaker 3:But what's going to happen when God shakes everything that can be shaken, as the prophet Haggai said? What's going to happen when false values and earthly ideals, when man-made religions lose their meaning, when that happy, back-slapping, storytelling megachurch and media ministry pastor begins to fail and goes further and closer to aligning with the world and they do that to keep the congregation coming, to keep the cash flowing and Christians end up bewildered and confused. What's going to happen? And as this world moves closer to collapse, to chaos, to persecution, you know, we saw that Colette and I spoke a little bit before service today and we were talking about the persecuted church and other lands where people were showing the last song that was recorded, that this singer recorded before she had her head chopped off because she rejected Islam and became a Christian. And we ended our conversation, colette and I, with coming to a theater near you, even among so-called civilized nations that teeter on the brink of collapse, when we begin to see church leaders who can't and realize they can't walk on water, nor can they turn it into wine, what will happen when it's found out that that big time evangelist, that big time preacher, what happens when we find out they're just people, when they're flawed and fragile and ordinary Multitudes of Christians, those that we are responsible for will be asking what's it all about?
Speaker 3:What's it all about? Who's going to tell us what God's doing? How will we know? Look, testing time is here, not coming, not. Oh, you better watch. It's here. I don't care who's elected, who's in whatever house, it's here. And it's going to take more than prosperity. It's going to take more than programs. It's going to take more than prosperity. It's going to take more than programs. It's going to take more than activities or social clubs or friendships.
Speaker 3:We need to know the Lord in his fullness, eyes focused on eternal values. Because only look, only the spiritual is going to remain. That's all there's going to be left. Only the spiritual, only spiritual people will know what's going on. Only the, the spiritually connected will not fail, will not falter, will not fall. Only the spiritually connected.
Speaker 3:And the only way to do that is to possess the mind of Christ, and I know that's a churchy term. Possess the mind of Christ, spiritual term. We have all accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord, but the only way to be linked to him is by being possessed by the Holy Spirit. That's the only way. If you're linked to him by the Holy Spirit of promise, you won't be thrown by what's coming, what's ahead, you're not thrown by what's here. But look, we have to be in a place, every one of us, we need to be in a place where nothing in our life is considered too important to lose. I think I phrased that perfectly. Not that you have to give everything up or go throw it off a bridge, but nothing in your life is too important to lose, too important to risk. That we're willing to walk away from all the junk in our lives, all the ridiculous things that we accumulate, physical and emotional, and we are spirit, physical and emotional, and we are spirit-infused. That's what it takes, just real quickly.
Speaker 3:Romans 13, listen to this. Romans 13 and 11. Romans 13 and 11. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep. For now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast off the work of darkness and let us put on the armor of light Calling us out from slumber.
Speaker 3:Look, you'll know, as a Christian, you'll know as a Christian, you'll know when the Holy Spirit's calling you out of a shallow Christianity, of a Sunday morning Christianity, when he's calling you into his marvelous light, lifting you out of the ordinary, the religion, you know how. We'll know. He'll stir your nest. Yeah, that's what he does. He stirs your nest. He disturbs our comfort, where we've grown Colette mentioned it again our complacency. He stirs that Unexplained restlessness. Churches, usual, disinterest you. Church accomplishments, name badges yeah, leaves you unfulfilled.
Speaker 3:And here's the big thing Questions that have rolled around in your spirit forever are now being answered, questions that you've had your entire Christian walk. Why does this happen? Why does that happen, you know, do babies go to heaven? All those things start to be answered. The Holy Spirit starts to answer them. That's God dealing with you in a supernatural way. That's the evidence.
Speaker 3:You know why he's doing it. He's getting you to lose your grip on things that you held dear for so long and so important and well, this can't happen and that I could never do that. He's trying to get you to lose your grip, to let go, to pull back to prayer, to pull back to spiritual hunger, to find out that brokenness isn't a bad thing. Are you sensing let me put it another way Maybe you're sensing that this morning, a desperation, a cry for more of his power, more of his glory, more of his spirit in you. Look, you can end that struggle today. You can. You can end that feeling that has taken you over by yielding. Yield everything you think you are, yield everything that you think is important and turn it over to the master, Give it to him.
Speaker 3:There is a final shaking that's coming, the tremors of which are being felt right now, right now, today. And the shaking is removing all that is false, all that is sensual, and I'm speaking of the remnant church. Now it's removing all that's untrue, all that's manufactured. So all that remains is reality and truth and spirituality. That's happening now. The waste, the things that don't really matter, that we put such a high value on, the filth of this world, is being washed away, and only the valuable will remain. That's all there'll be left, will remain. That's all there'll be left. And this shaking will cause division in the church. It'll cause, donna, division within the family. Don't be surprised, don't even be upset. It will cause division. It's when wheat and chaff are being separated, and it happens everywhere, to everyone at some point, some sooner than others, but it says, when that happens, the love of many will wax cold, but at the very same time, at the very same time, true believers will become stronger, true believers that are withholding some things. And well, they'll become stronger.
Speaker 3:The account of Korah's rebellion will be played out on the world stage. If you don't know what Korah's rebellion is, it's the message for another time. We'll be here forever, but it'll play out on who's deceived and who is deceiving, and he'll make it clear to you. You'll see with clarity who is deceived, who is being deceived. A final shaking, a final shaking, a godly shaking that's going to blow away the deceived and the deceivers just like dry leaves. Just dance them across the street and down the alley. Look when Jesus and I'm going to close when Jesus is held in the most contempt, held in the most contempt, when he is most despised by the world. And I don't know if we have reached the apex of that yet, but we're close.
Speaker 3:You know everything that I saw in the last two days the college outpourings, the number of Christians, the Gen Zers, that are seeking God. That might be the evidence of this final call. But let me tell you my concern. You know, when they flipped on the screen, all the different outpourings that happened on college campuses and my concern is after they accept Christ, and even some of them had water tanks and they baptized them right there my concern is where do they have to go? Where can they go After they've accepted Christ and emotional, true? Where do they have to go to be discipled? Where do they have to go to be discipled as pastors, ministers, worship leaders are not only stepping down but falling away and departing the faith, making public declarations about the errancy of the Bible.
Speaker 3:The errancy of the Bible, and those that remain are, for a huge portion, preaching a fleshly gospel and a woke doctrine. Take heart. Take heart, because at that very time, true Christianity will rise up. When Jesus is held in the most contempt, true Christians will be at their hottest. Their zeal will be unequaled, their courage unflinching. Their courage unflinching, just like that.
Speaker 3:I don't know about the woman that sang the gospel and was killed for her faith. I don't know exactly, but she walked into that, she walked right into it. Yeah, what are you going to do? Kill me. I'll go be with my dad. That's a pretty good deal. I'll go be with my dad. That's a pretty good deal, as the true Christian will stand in defense of truth and righteousness when a large portion of religion here's what I want all of you to hear a large portion of the religion, here's what I want all of you to hear A large portion of the religion.
Speaker 3:Look, we're surrounded by nine churches within a mile. Most of them will forsake us. I don't know all of their doctrines and I shouldn't say it like that, but I think you understand those that don't truly follow Christ will forsake us. You're crazy, you're nuts. Leave it alone. But as we rise to fight the Lord's battle, opposition will arise, bigotry will arise, intolerance will rise, but the true Christian, the true Christian, will stand like a rock. My, my Faith, strong position in Christ, secure and lead those converts To a deeper relationship with the altogether lovely one. Amen. Again, I'll remind you that the altar is open. Let's worship. Let's worship.
Speaker 1:I sing praises to your name, oh Lord, praises to your name. Oh Lord, for your name is great and greatly to be praised. Sing it again. I sing praises to your name. Oh Lord, praises to your name, praises to your name. Oh lord, for your name is great and greatly to be praised. I give glory to your name, oh Lord, glory to your name. Oh Lord, glory to your name. Oh Lord, for your name is great and greatly to be praised.
Speaker 1:Exalt the Lord our God. Exalt the Lord, our God, and worship at His footstool, worship at His footstool. Holy is he. Holy is he. Exalt the Lord, our God. Exalt the Lord, our God, and worship at his footstool. Worship at his footstool. Holy is he. Holy is he.
Speaker 1:I sing praises to your name, oh Lord.
Speaker 1:Praises to your name, oh Lord, for your name is great and greatly to be praised.
Speaker 1:I sing praises to your name, oh Lord, praises to your name, oh Lord, for your name is great and greatly to be praised.
Speaker 1:Hallelujah, continue to worship Him this morning. Hallelujah to the Lamb. There is none like you. Lord, give Him all the glory. I give glory to your name, o Lord, glory to your name, oh Lord, for your name is great and greatly to be praised. Sing it again is great and greatly to be praised. Just the precious name of Jesus is worthy of all praise. So let us bow our knees before him and our hands to heaven raise when he comes in clouds of glory with Him to ever reign. Let's lift our happy voices and praise His dear name. Let's just praise the Lord, oh, praise Him, praise the Lord. Let's just lift our hands toward heaven and praise the Lord. Let's just praise the Lord, oh, praise the Lord. Let's just lift our hands toward heaven and praise the Lord. Oh, let's sing it another time. Let's just praise the Lord. Let's just praise the Lord. Let's just praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Let's just lift our hands toward heaven and praise the Lord. Let's just praise the Lord. Give Him all the glory. Praise the Lord.
Speaker 1:Let's just lift our hands toward heaven and praise the Lord.
