Speaker 2:

Thank you, jesus. God will open. He'll open up the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing. My God will open. He'll open up the windows of heaven and He'll pour you out a blessing. My God will open. He'll open up the windows of heaven, he'll pour you out a blessing, and you will not have the room, not because of you, but because he's good, and you will not have the room to receive him.

Speaker 3:

Hello, welcome to Valley Gospel Church. We are a non-denominational Pentecostal church located in Springdale, Pennsylvania. Our sole mission is to present the living truth of a risen Lord Jesus Christ to a remnant church and a lost world.

Speaker 4:

So let's go into the service recorded live at Valley Gospel Church go into the service recorded live at Valley Gospel Church, in the book of Isaiah and it's if you've read while we're going to read it this morning. But the prophecy is so. It's so far-reaching, so incredible that I don't think I could have discerned, as the Lord poured this out, this prophetic word to me. I don't think I could have discerned it in terms of today's church or the modern church, had Jesus himself not confirmed the prophecy in the New Testament. It wouldn't have made sense to me, I wouldn't have been able to put it together. The prophecy's focus is on a highway, a road that God has built out of Egypt, and it goes into great detail regarding that road. But as the Lord explained it to me, that it shows this highway, this road affects every lost sinner. It affects every half-ant Christian, every backslider in all of creation. That's why it's so important. The prophecy is two-pronged it speaks to a literal Israel in the Middle East and a spiritual Judah, and how many of you know that the spiritual Judah is the church of today, god's church? The highway comes out of Egypt. Out of Egypt it goes through Syria, which is kind of in the news this morning, right, it goes through Syria and into the land of promise. Now stay with me and I'll try to give it to you exactly as he gave it to me. We know in Bible type that Egypt is the world in its bondage, the sinful world. Pharaoh is darkness, a satanic power, a satanic presence with his soothsayers and magicians that lure us and entice us. And Syria is God's correction, god's corrective hand. You say where did you get that, pastor? God told Syria you are my club in anger, you are my whip that I will use, I will wield you in my wrath. So what happened between Israel and Egypt and Syria? And what is God showing his church today through this supernatural, heavenly revelation? We know that the Old Testament speaks to us in examples, right, it shows us with and I like the way the Bible calls it ensamples, type revelation, truth. It gives us that truth and reality through Old Testament characters and issues that they face. Chrissy, let's go to work.

Speaker 4:

Our focus at Valley Gospel Church has been directed by the Lord On the eve of our very first service in 2006, as I was cleaning out my pond skimmer and when I pulled the net out of the pond it was filled with little baby fish and tadpoles and the Lord spoke to me. This is on the very day we were to open and he spoke to me and said this is what I've called you to Clean skimmers. You don't have to explain that. No. To reach those who have been under unsound doctrine. To restore the backslidden, to help those who have had a crisis of faith. You know we're quick to say well, I was hurt in the church and we've even given it a title church hurt. Right, it's people hurt. It has nothing to do with the church. It's a people hurt. It has nothing to do with the church. It's a people heart. People are people. Amen, amen.

Speaker 4:

We've been called to help those that have somehow strayed back to Egypt. Back to Egypt, back to the world, back to Egypt, back to the world, to restore them to full battle position and get them headed to the promised land. And that's where we'll start this morning. So if you have your Bibles now I know you have your Bibles turn with me please to Isaiah 19. Isaiah 19 and verse 20, 20 through 23. And that's where we'll start. Whenever you get there, would you please stand in reverence to God's word.

Speaker 3:

And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt, for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors and he shall send them a Savior and a Great One, and he shall deliver them, and the Lord shall be known to Egypt. And the Egyptians shall know the Lord in that day and shall do sacrifice and oblation, yea. They shall vow a vow unto the Lord and perform it, and the Lord shall smite Egypt. He shall smite and heal it and they shall return even to the Lord and he shall be entreated of them and shall heal them. In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.

Speaker 4:

My, my, Now for us to receive this powerful message. It's important just to do this revelation to Isaiah and how it applies to today's church. We need to back up just a little bit in the same chapter, so I'm going to ask Christy to read verses 1 through 3 as well.

Speaker 3:

The burden of Egypt.

Speaker 3:

Behold, the Lord rides upon a swift cloud and shall come into Egypt and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it, and I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians and they shall fight everyone against his brother and everyone against his neighbor, against the city, city against city and the kingdom against kingdom. And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof and I will destroy the council thereof. And they shall seek to the idols and to the charmers and to them who have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.

Speaker 4:

All right, and, as we said I don't know if I clarified, I think I said Pharaoh, but it includes Egypt as well Egypt is darkness, the satanic presence that governs in our world, actually soothsayers, magicians. I used for a subject this morning a road out of Egypt. A road out of Egypt. Let's pray, heavenly Father. Thank you, lord. I thank you for this Old Testament revelation. Lord, lord, I feel so unworthy that you have revealed something so powerful and so great to somebody like me. Thank you, lord. Thank you for this revelation of truth. Lord, help me to say it exactly as you would have it said Let it be a lamp in the light. It is. In the name of your blessed, beloved august, all-powerful Son, we pray. Amen and amen. Please be seated.

Speaker 4:

What a revelation to the backslidden, or to the shallow Christian, to those that have turned from church, from the faith and go back into the world. And you say well, I don't understand how that happens or why that happens, and we'll explore that just a little bit today, because in today's church there's even an acceptable degree with which Christians are told we can return to the world. And look, we all know folks that have succumbed to that, used to be on fire used to love the Lord never missed church. They were there for every outreach, helped in every activity, every special event. And then they take a step back. What happened? Where'd they go? They disappear or you don't even. You don't even see them again and you hear maybe they're back to their old ways, to their old bondages, and maybe that's happened to you somewhere along your path. I know it did happen to me and I asked the question well, why? Why? Maybe they weren't rooted in the word to begin with? Maybe a maybe, a crisis in their life, a test of faith, an offense, an offense that became just too much to deal with.

Speaker 4:

We turn back to some worldly comfort or, so we thought, some old pleasure. The Bible has a term for that a familiar spirit. A familiar spirit. We were lured back to Egypt. We were lured back to Egypt. Isaiah tells us to go back to indulge in the world, and some for the dazzle of the lights or the entertainment of the world, others to an old relationship or a comfortable association. An old relationship or a comfortable association, maybe money or an activity that was just so important to us in our past life. But this prophecy listen to this this prophecy says that at some point, even if we go back to indulge in the pleasure of sin, at some point the believer will lose heart. The believer will become confused. We become disenchanted with the way of the world, disenchanted with what lured us back to Egypt in the first place.

Speaker 4:

Hang on hold on Our facade of rebellion, and that's how we first start to process this in our minds that we're in rebellion. You know, I grew up in a church all the rules, and I'm tired of the rules and I'm tired of the regulations. So the facade is rebellion, built around today's self-serving mantra in society you just do you, I'm doing me, you do what you need to do. That's today's societal mantra. This is my life, my choice. That's the popular rebellion. We rebel against church norms. But that facade of rebellion will melt away. That I don't care attitude I'll be in, and I'm sure you've heard this well, yeah, well, I'll just be in hell with my buddies yeah, that's not going to work out.

Speaker 4:

I'm just telling you or I tried that God stuff. It didn't work. I still have the pain, I still have the issue, I'm still broke and if that kindly prayer answering God that you serve, if he's real, why do I still hurt? Why am I still in pain? Why am I still in bondage? Why am I still in pain? Why am I still in bondage? Why am I still struggling? All of this reality, this rebellion, will fade away to the true believer. Even now there's a shaking. There's a shaking of every idol. It's happening at this very moment. Of every bondage, of every haughty spirit, the Holy Spirit is making miserable those who once knew the Lord but have drifted back toward the world, back toward Egypt are children who grew up in church and those who once knew the Lord but have drifted back toward the world, to entertainment, to technology, to really bad friends or so-called friends, those who sang praises to God but went back to the world, but went back to the world.

Speaker 4:

This prophecy said that the Holy Spirit will take away that false pleasure of sin. He'll take away the perceived need for things and bondages and whatever else might be holding us. He'll remove the self-centered plan in our life and he'll melt the pride and he'll turn us in the direction of Father's house. That's what the prophecy says. Think of some of your old friends, some of the guys, girls that you hung out with, acquaintances, that are now starting to ask you, even if it's only a little about church when do you go to church? Yeah, what's he preach about? Maybe even a little sarcastic, but they're asking. They're asking. You're kids that strayed away from the Lord, but you're sensing somewhat of a change, a softening, a change in their spirit, where they don't shut you up on the first word, they let you get 10. There's a change happening. How many of you know that in the last six months, bible sales worldwide have gone up 22%? What's that about? 22% in six months?

Speaker 4:

God is revealing his plan and his plan isn't a word we like to say. His plan is supernatural terror, supernatural terror and oh, terror. I don't like that because we always think about terror that that's coming on us. That's not the case. Here we equate terror as a bad thing. This terror is about to strike. Fear in Satan's kingdom. That's what this terror is going to do. It will cause those who have fallen For his wicked ways For darkness To tremble.

Speaker 4:

Verse 16. Verse 16. Still in 19. In that day shall Egypt be like unto women, and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the Lord of hosts which he shaketh over it and the land of Judah. Remember what Judah, in Bible type, the church and the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt. Everyone that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself and because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts which he hath determined against it. In Bible type, the word shall tremble in terror as the Lord swings his hand over the world, the land of Judah, the church, god's people, you and I will be a terror to the world, as opposed to christianity being the whipping boy where the we're the lowest of the low.

Speaker 4:

Everybody can make fun of christianity. That's not gonna last. Uh, we're. We're the sad sack right now. We're the weak, sad sack, the, the weak one. The very mention of the name Christian or born again or child of God will cause dread in the world. That's what the prophecy says. And in the kingdom of darkness Church we got to stop giving Satan so much credit. We got to stop giving him so much credit. We got to stop giving him so much birth. Stop talking about and conceding to his power Whoa, I'm not sure how that works that we give Satan. We give Satan, we acquiesce to his power and go oh don't mess with that.

Speaker 4:

I can mess with anything. Hallelujah, stop falling for his lies. Only a couple of you might remember this, but Flip Wilson used to have a TV show and he as the character, geraldine, and he, the devil, made me do it. Honey, honey, the devil can't make you do anything. Listen to me. He can't make you do a thing. Don't give in to his harassment, don't give in to the demons that he sends. Don't believe that the devil has you or your loved one in slavery, because God Almighty has a plan. He has a plan, a glorious plan. He calls the highway out of Egypt my. To bring the backslider back, to bring the shallow Christian into a new and deep relationship, to bring the lost sheep back into the fold. Do you remember what Jesus said about going out for one lost sheep? That's what this revelation of truth is talking about. And as God's plan unfolds, egypt will give up their prisoners, the world will give up its prisoners. Those that are far off will be brought back to the father's house. Your kids are coming back. Our friends are coming back. Our friends are coming back. Those that once knew the Lord and turned back to Egypt are coming home. How can you say that pastor. You don't know how far they've traveled, you don't know how dark it is out there. I can say that because I've seen it all in you. I've seen you all come back. I've seen you all in you. I've seen you all come back. I've seen you all who have strayed Everybody, just about everybody in here I've known from past life, but I've seen you all come back, hallelujah. All the folks that were lost and undone but came back. I'll just tell you a really quick story.

Speaker 4:

Georgia came to Valley Gospel Church first by herself. She was there for a couple of months. I happened to meet Jeff elsewhere, not knowing that it was Georgia's husband, and I talked to him and I remember one Sunday I asked Georgia so when will Jeff be coming? And Georgia looked at me and said honey. She always called me honey, still does honey. Jeff ain't coming, honey, jeff ain't coming. Jeff ain't never coming.

Speaker 4:

Isaiah said it is Satan who will tremble Glory. He and his entire kingdom will tremble in the presence of every person that carries the name of our Lord. Jesus Christ, glory, our King. Those that walk in the light of the Lord are victorious, and you and I, by faith and grace. No other word to describe grace, but amazing, no other word. I need his grace. The ungodly, the evil, will quake with fear in the presence of the church. As this prophecy moves further along in coming to pass, I want to be accurate with this Little church, rural Mississippi, 1960-61.

Speaker 4:

This little church got tired of their kids being sucked into drugs and their kids you know there was a big lot of drug houses and crack houses and where their kids were being lured to come with entertainment and where they'd go and buy drugs. So this little church, probably only 25 strong, decided to have an outreach. Decided to have an outreach and they would go to these supposed clubs and they would stand outside and pray and they were having a great effect. And finally, the leader who owned this I don't want to throw this in a motorcycle troop, but it was a motorcycle gang that were selling all the drugs and it started to take a financial effect on his income. So one day he and about 20 of his gang members rode up to a sunday morning service at this church and they went in.

Speaker 4:

The leader walked down the center aisle up to the platform, the his group, his crew spread out across the back of the church and he walked up to the pastor. He turned around and he warned them about their prayer vigils and said this has to stop and it has to stop now. And he told the pastor he had he used to carry this little bullwhip on his motorcycle. And he turned it around and he walked up and he tapped the pastor on the forehead. It stops now or we burn your church to the ground. Turned around, went down this little country lane, crossed a set of railroad tracks and no one saw the train coming and no one saw the train coming. The train hit the leader and, according to the account, the leader was decapitated. My understanding is they haven't. To this day from 1960, they've never found his head. Pardon me for being so graphic. Ironically he was, as a small boy, a member of that little Pentecostal church. Pastor was gracious and godly and he agreed to perform the funeral for this headless gang leader.

Speaker 4:

At the service there was a message in tongues and an interpretation came back I am a God of grace and peace, but a terror to those who oppose me. As you have tapped the head of my servant, so have I tapped yours. So what is this plan? And I read that story. Can't vouch for the validity or the accuracy of every part of it, but it seemed pretty powerful to me. So what's this plan that will terrorize hell?

Speaker 4:

God's moving. Listen closely. God's moving beyond sanctuaries. He's moving beyond sanctuaries. He's moving beyond denomination. He's moving outside of church walls into the world, into Egypt, into Egypt To bring a revival to the world. That doesn't make sense. Right in Satan's domain, all the barriers are being torn down. It's happening as we speak Separation of church and state, denominational barriers, societal barriers, secular barriers, religious as a personal and private matter barriers. People of this world will no longer say this is our realm, stay out. Secular realm, christian, keep away. I don't know if you read. Ted brought this to mind. I've researched it a lot.

Speaker 4:

There's a little tent revival that's happening in Moon Township right now and they're meeting in a tent and they have outreaches and the neighborhood is up in arms. How dare you put all that noise and loud and music and worship? We don't want that in our community and it goes before a judge this week and it's going to be really interesting how it will. Actually it already went before the judge, but the judge is going to rule on this. They're getting 700 people coming out to these revivals and I'm really curious to see how the judge rules this week as far as them being able to hold this. It's got to be cold in that tent. I don't know how you. It's a beautiful tent, I saw pictures of it.

Speaker 4:

The Holy Spirit is going to go onto the street. He's going to go into bars and casinos and dead. Churches and religious institutions will be invaded by the Holy Spirit. That's where we're at. He will descend like a cloud, like a fog, glory, and will minister to the backslider, to the drifter, to the lost child of God who once knew the way but, through whatever circumstances, got caught up in the world, whether they've fallen prey to drugs or alcohol or worldly affairs or adulterous affairs, or to that unspeakable sin that they do in secret, that no one knows. Those lost in a hellish depression, confused by false doctrine, will be brought to reality and understand the truth. No one, no place will be off limits Not to the quiet call of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes the Holy Spirit calls very quietly, sometimes not so quietly.

Speaker 4:

By and large, this isn't going to be happening in churches. It will be happening from churches, but not in churches. It will happen in hotel rooms on the street. It will happen in bars and clubs, people will awaken that this just isn't the way to live my life anymore, live my life anymore. I don't feel comfortable here anymore. I've been doing this for years, but now it just doesn't seem right or righteous. I'm tired of lying, I'm tired of the lies. I need truth. And the prophecy is clear.

Speaker 4:

The Holy Spirit is brooding over satanic territory. He is terrorizing demonic powers and territorial spirits. He is convicting the wayward and the fallen Right now, verse 18. And in that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Can and swear to the Lord of hosts. One shall be called the city of destruction. This is important. Five cities in the heart of Satan's territory. Five cities and the Lord didn't reveal them to me, man. I could name five, quick them to me, man. I could name five quick. Five cities in the heart of satanic territory, terrorizing this demonic power, where backslidden Christians indulge in a world of darkness, where backslidden Christians have gone the other way.

Speaker 4:

God, the Holy Spirit, begins to move, seeking those on the inside, those on the inside who know the truth in Egypt, in Egypt, speaking the language of faith in the world. But speaking the language of faith, how many times have you heard, even in the last two months, people that you would never expect, whether it's on television or in the political field, people giving glory to God and it seems so out of sorts because that doesn't happen and they're giving God the glory. And they're giving God the glory and they're giving God the praise In the heart of the world verse 19,. And in that day shall there be an altar. How do you reconcile this? In that day, there shall be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt and a pillar in the border thereof. To the Lord, an altar. An altar in the world, an altar in Egypt. I will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies. Who would believe that? An altar in the midst of unbelief, in the midst of bondage? Revival begins even before the backslider gets back to church and gets back to being under the word and being in the house of God While they're still in the devil's territory. An altar being loyal to the Lord In the devil's territory. An altar being loyal to the Lord In the face of peer pressure and secular pressure and government pressure and church pressure. An altar, oh, can I have a little bit of time, ezekiel 11. I just want to bring this home. The prophet Ezekiel weighs into this very thing.

Speaker 4:

Isaiah's prophecy, ezekiel 11 and 16. Therefore, say thus saith the Lord God, although I have cast them afar off among the heathen and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come? Therefore, say Thus saith the Lord God, I will even gather you from the people and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel, and they shall come thither and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abomination thereof from thence. And I will give them one heart and I will put a new spirit within you, and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh and I will give them a heart and I will put a new spirit within you and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh and I will give them a heart of flesh. One more verse, then that they may walk in my statutes, keep mine ordinances and do them, and they shall be my people and I will be their God. There's the prophet Ezekiel weighing in on that prophecy that I will be a sanctuary. The Lord said for them in exile. I will gather them, I will protect them, I will restore them. I will give them a new spirit All at the time they're in bondage. They're in bondage All at the time. They're in bondage All at the time when you're driving out of town to do whatever. The Holy Spirit's, the Holy Spirit's ministering Hallelujah. I will give a new spirit, even while you're in bondage.

Speaker 4:

There's a strange development taking place church in the world and in the church. Now I know I began noticing it for some time now and more pronounced, more particular, in the last year. But the church world has begun to speak Egyptian. They're speaking the language of the world unbelief, skepticism, liberalism, materialism, sensuality. And at the same time that the church is leaning toward the world, the lost, the disheartened, the backslidden are leaning toward the altar. And that's scriptural. The Bible says in the last days there will come a coming together and a falling away. At the same time, and I sense it now more than ever, I have more spiritual conversations with people. I wouldn't expect to have spiritual conversations with people. I wouldn't expect to have spiritual conversations with, deep inside, those that right now are in Egyptian bondage, whatever that bondage might be are leaning toward the Lord while still in that bondage.

Speaker 4:

Look, don't give up on yourself, don't give up on your friends, your loved ones that you might think are too far on or too immersed in this world. They've been given over to Satan's influence. Because you don't know how many of those folks cry themselves to sleep at night, cry themselves to sleep to sleep at night, desperately trying to find a way back, trying to find a way back to Jesus. Lord, don't give up on me. Please don't give up on me. I'm so lost, I'm so helpless, I'm undone, but I still love you. Bring me back, bring me close to you again. You might not completely grasp the prophecy, it may not fit our so-called church-centered theology, but the Lord is establishing an altar in the midst of unbelief and bondage, in the midst of Satan's territory. No backslider, no one that has fallen back to sin has far to go to get backslider. No one that has fallen back to sin has far to go to get back to God. It's not a long trip. It really isn't. They may be on the doorstep of a bar or a casino or a crack house, and the Holy Spirit of God is there An altar in the midst of darkness. John Newton and I'm fixing to close, that's the best words, right, john Newton?

Speaker 4:

He was the author he wrote Amazing Grace, and history tells us he was a slave trader. He was steeped in evil and darkness and history said that, from all the evil that he had committed and the unspeakable acts that he had done year after year, as a slave trader that he was, he became, he went mad and he was confined to an asylum. And maybe it was the events in his life had taken their toll. Maybe an evil spirit had taken control. Spirit had taken control, but because of his violent behavior, history said that he was not just in an asylum, he was literally locked in a cage like an animal with straw bedding, because they couldn't leave him with any, not even a stick or a stone, because he would try to kill himself or other people. In the final plea, in a moment, and maybe only a moment of clarity, he cried out to the Galilean If you're real, come to me here. If you're real, come to me here.

Speaker 4:

And in the filth of that cage, in a dungeon of an 18th century asylum, without a worship team, without a guitar, without the melodious strains of an organ no choir, no preacher, no pastor, no padded pews. The ancient of days walked through that fog and set him free that mental and I'm being kind that mental instability, the depression, the oppression, the darkness. He made an altar in that area of unbelief. One month later, john Newton wrote the words amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now I'm blind. But now I say one month God had built a highway out of Egypt. Isaiah's prophecy was being fulfilled. It is being fulfilled. That highway runs through Syria, on to the promised land, assyria.

Speaker 4:

Remember what Assyria is? Correction, correction. We've got to come under the corrective hand of God. It seems to me the modern church, the modern Christian, is unwilling to be corrected. They write our rules, coming out of whatever denomination we might be, what our family believed, what someone taught us, and we don't want to be corrected. We want to go around to Syria. Today we tell them it's easy peasy, just skip down flowered pathways back to the Lord, no problem, back into God's presence. But that's not true and I speak from experience.

Speaker 4:

I spent years in Assyria under the corrective hand of God. You know, if you think that occasionally God gives me a message worth hearing, I'm happy and I'm humbled. But it's only because I've submitted to that correction that he speaks to me, that I've submitted to him saying yeah, pastor, that's not the way we do this that I've yielded to the discipline. If you do that here's my promise you will experience joy, unspeakable and full of glory. Those that are broken and in despair and filled with anxiety will return to full worship, to high worship of the Lord. And you know what. God makes the best use of those that are broken because he's a restorer. He's a fix-it kind of God. That's who he is. He's a salvager that not only brings us back to viability but brings us back to being able to be used of him to viability, but brings us back to being able to be used of him to usefulness. He restores the shiny, he restores the dignity, he restores that new Christian smell. Now that's a car right.

Speaker 4:

The world sees and the church sees a cleaned up X, whatever we happen to be and I know this goes against all the mentor, mentee teachings and that once you're an alcoholic, you're always an alcoholic. No, I'm not. No, I'm not. I've been cleaned by the blood of the Lamb, hallelujah. I am an ex Glory Hallelujah. Our Lord sees newness of life. He sees old things that are passed away. All things are become new. He sees the showroom shine, returned Glory. The Holy Spirit targets the helpless, those without internal strength, the powerless that we've been weakened by sin. And here's the message the Lord would have me deliver to you this morning. Sorry, I took the long way around. Hang on, hang on, stay there, stay where you are, keep what faith you have, hold it close. Yeah, you may stumble, you may fall, but somebody's coming for you may fall, but somebody's coming for you.

Speaker 4:

A rescuer's already been dispatched, he's already been sent and the Holy Spirit is scouring the area for just little drops of faith, just little signs that I'm trying to get back. I'm trying to get to you. He won't stop until you're found and restored. Can I share one more thing with you? I know this is going long, but I want to share this one more thing. Please be patient, because this may be the revelation in this morning's message, not to those who are backslidden or fallen away or castaways, but to those and we don't like this term either but to those that are lost in the house. Those that are lost in the house Go to the New Testament, romans, romans 5.

Speaker 4:

Short reading 5 and 6. For when we were yet without strength in due time, christ died for the ungodly, for scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet peradventure for a good man. Some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, christ died for us. Much more than being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more being reconciled we shall be saved by his life.

Speaker 4:

They attend church, they know the language of salvation, they're a part of the body of Christ. But we're sometimes not really useful to God. We have no faith, we have no power, not being used of the Lord, and again, not like the prodigal who's far off. This is different. They're near the altar, they're near the Lord's table, but they're lost in the house. They don't pray, god doesn't speak to them. This prophecy is written to them. You know, I remember someone who had been in the church for a long time and one day, I think, said well, no, god's never spoken to me and I thought how sad, how sad to be in that, to live a life in that existence. This prophecy is written to them. The Holy Spirit will seek you, he will find you, he will restore you.

Speaker 4:

The highway out of Egypt is packed. It's bumper to bumper. Nobody's blowing any horns though Patient Amen. It's overflowing with the lost, the disenchanted, the disengaged. But you know what? Even if there was only one on the road, the Lord would still rejoice. It's still rejoice. He's calling his, his children, you and I, to rejoice with him. He's calling the church to rejoice.

Speaker 4:

The shepherd is seeking goodly pearls. Hallelujah. The shepherd's looking for his lost sheep, the merchant is seeking goodly pearls. He knows where they are. He's sending a rescue. He knows where they are. Every stronghold is coming down, his grip is being broken. His deceptions, devil's deceptions, are being exposed, and the Holy Spirit will go to the very gates of hell to find us. I'll close with this. We're not going to turn there. But it's Isaiah 43. The Lord said so precious are you to me, so honored, so beloved, I will sacrifice land for you. I will turn out nations for you From the east and the west. Will I gather you? I will bring my daughters from the north and my sons from afar off. I have claimed you for my own, I have formed you for my glory, and a highway awaits you, a road out of Egypt, and that highway is a way of holiness, hallelujah. Thank you so much for listening.
