They're Not After Me, They're After You (Part Three)

Pastor Bob Ezatoff Season 1 Episode 29

What if your political beliefs and your faith were at odds? Join us for a compelling exploration of Christianity's role in today's political landscape, recorded live at Valley Gospel Church in Springdale, Pennsylvania. This episode exposes the Democratic Party as a demonic death cult and urges Christians to reflect deeply on the alignment of their political affiliations with their spiritual convictions. We delve into scripture, focusing on Proverbs 6, to illuminate our responsibility as believers to choose candidates that, despite their imperfections, best represent God's principles. A heartfelt prayer follows, asking for divine guidance and the courage to speak truthfully amidst the political noise.

We then transition to the contentious issue of abortion, urging listeners to engage with a pro-life perspective that extends beyond the political sphere. We present abortion as the leading cause of death worldwide, drawing a theological, biological, and logical argument to support the sanctity of life from conception, referencing Psalm 139. Challenging cultural slogans like "my body, my choice," we discuss the unique biological identity of the unborn child. Finally, we embrace the power of collective worship, celebrating spiritual transformation and liberation through vibrant praise, affirming the joy of unity in faith and the transformative power of divine intervention. This episode invites you to confront complex issues with an open heart and mind, framed through the lens of faith and reason.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, jesus. God will open. He'll open up the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing. My God will open. He'll open up the windows of heaven and he'll pour you out a blessing. My God will open. He'll open up the windows of heaven, he'll pour you out a blessing, and you will not have the room, not because of you, but because he's good, and you will not have the room to receive him.

Speaker 2:

Hello, welcome to Valley Gospel Church. We are a non-denominational Pentecostal church located in Springdale, pennsylvania. Our sole mission is to present the living truth of a risen Lord Jesus Christ to a remnant church and a lost world. Let's get into the service recorded live at Valley Gospel Church.

Speaker 3:

Hallelujah to the Lamb. Hallelujah to the Lamb. We were, and of course we have Sunday school. Lily, don't worry, I see our Sunday school is a little light today. So important. Kids get in, especially in this time, that they get in under the word, they get in the presence of God, they get in the worship. It hurts when I don't see a whole lot of kids in service, and I know some. Well, they make noise. I don't care, Couldn't care less. Yeah, really, we're a Pentecostal church, right? Noise doesn't bother us.

Speaker 3:

How many of you have ever heard of a soft opening like a pre-sale? That's what the Lord has instructed me to do today. We're going to dismiss for Sunday school in just a minute, but I have a little bit of a soft opening. Before you get distracted or hear things downstairs, or when you go to look at the scripture, the Timu ad shows up on your phone and I got to check this out. Anyway, I'll just have a look Now. This soft opening is soft because of its position in the church. It's not by this opening, it's not soft by content. So I'll ask you to kind of buckle up here for just a second and we'll get to our dismissal. We'll get to our lesson.

Speaker 3:

We've been talking about politics, the last three little series. Right, they're not after me, they're after you, and I believe the Lord has allowed me to do it this way because of what's happening in the world today this country, the upcoming election, and what is our responsibility as a Christian? And look, I'm not politically motivated, I'm not a political junkie, I'm a preacher of the gospel. That's my call, has been for some 35 years, that's my calling. And look, that which will heal our land isn't political, it's theological. But my opening statement is this the present day Democratic Party, the party of my father, the party of my mother well, until she was 80, the party of my youth that I affiliated with, the present day Democratic Party is a demonic death cult Perpetrated by and under the influence of Satan himself. And I know maybe some of you want to storm out. I don't know, Maybe I'm preaching to the choir, but I'm going to say it like God gave it to me. Hear me out, you can do whatever you want. You have that freedom. We're not someone who's going to say this is what you have to do. You do whatever you like, think however you want, but hear me out.

Speaker 3:

An alignment with the Democratic Party or a vote for their platform, is to align yourself with everything that God hates. Not my words, not my interpretation, it's the word of God, which we'll read in just a moment. A party that supports the mutilation of human bodies, the annihilation of babies in the womb, the sexualization of our children and the outright rejection of God. That is their calling card, that is the platform. A party that took a mobile abortion clinic and parked it outside of their convention and offered free abortions. A party that lights the city lights when abortions surpass live births, A former president said this week. Bill Clinton said we need borders open because we're not having any babies. No, we're killing them all. How can a Christian align with a party that supports and defends and enthusiastically upholds everything that God hates? Oh no, God doesn't hate anything. We'll see. We'll see today, but I'll ask this question Do we really serve God? Do we even want what he wants? And we'll pick up right here after we dismiss our children. Right back to the message. Christy, let's go If you have your Bibles, turn with me please to the book of Proverbs, Proverbs 6.

Speaker 3:

Proverbs 6. You know, as believers, we have a responsibility. I know there's a whole lot of people who say well, you keep your nose out of politics, Keep it out of government. No, we have a responsibility as believers to be involved, to vote for the person that best stems the tide of evil. Proverbs 6, beginning with the 16th verse. Whenever you get there, we're going to read 16 through 19. Whenever you get there, kind of look this way or stand up in obedience to God's word. Proverbs 6 and 16.

Speaker 5:

These six things does the Lord hate, yea? Seven are an abomination unto him A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed his innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running into mischief, a false witness that speaks lies. And he who sows discord among brethren.

Speaker 3:

Wow, wow, evil, being the things that God hates. And just to be clear, jesus isn't on the ballot this time. These are broken people, but our obligation for any office I don't care which one broken people you're looking at, a broken pastor but our obligation is to uphold god's position as best we can. Let's pray, heavenly, father lord, I thank you. I thank you not only for the courage that you've given me to speak these words of truth, lord. I ask your anointing on everything that I say this morning. Open our ears, lord, that we might hear Jesus In Jesus' name. Amen and amen. Please be seated. So what is God's position? So what is God's position? His position is the sanctity of life, the protection of our children, the upholding of the family and the. To withhold our vote and say, well, yeah, but I don't like this and I don't like that. To withhold our vote is a disrespect to those who fought and died to give us that right, to our soldiers, our sailors, our Marines. Well, I'm just not going out this time. I'm going to write in Mickey Mouse. Do you realize how that disrespects our flag, our veterans, and it denies God's word that tells us to put our light on the table. Don't hide it under a bushel, put it on a table.

Speaker 3:

We're going to explore Proverbs for just a bit. I won't go too deeply because just for the sake of time. But it's important that we hear, because we've been preached to and accepted nowadays, that God is love and only love he gets us, doesn't matter where we're at, what we do, how we live our life, it doesn't matter, because God is a God of love. And this scripture throws a wrench in that. It tells us that there are things that displease him, that there are things that displease him. The first one is actually the original King James says haughty eyes, haughty eyes. What's haughty eyes? Haughty eyes are the spirit that makes a person overestimate themselves. Think they're all that, think they're something in terms of spirituality.

Speaker 3:

And it's done two ways. And I'm going to really try to stay calm and concise, because I believe what I have to say is important and if I start to yell and get excited you might miss something. So I'm going to stay quiet, I'm going to compose, I'm going to put the fingers. Two ways this happens. One is by way of a heightened authority in the church, in leadership Popes, priests, pastors, prophets. Heightened leadership I'm the guy, I'm the man, I'm the one. Yeah, ted said quite accurately last week that he loves what I preach, but I am not Jesus, and he's absolutely right. I am not Hallelujah. I can only point you the way to the one who sent me. That's all, that's my only job.

Speaker 3:

And the other is this declaration that there is no God and that's become kind of a party mantra of the Democratic Party that we are now a post-Christian nation. It's all fairy tales, even proclaiming your higher power rather than your Lord and Savior. Haughty eyes, haughty eyes. We have this pretense that's put up by some religious organizations that we are holy. The only reason the church is holy is because he is holy. Amen. There is no holiness or goodness in ourselves whatsoever.

Speaker 3:

Second one a lying tongue, spiritual or religious deception. Quoting scriptures you really don't believe, making spiritual quotations, biblical ones that have no truth in your life. A big one. He gets us If I have time, I'll expand on that a little bit A form of godlinessliness, but denying his power. That's the majority of the church not applying his direction to our life, to our walk, to our political choices. Number three hands that shed innocent blood. We're going to come back to this and it's actually kind of the core of today's final message. What's more innocent than a precious child unborn? Not because I think it's the only issue or that I think it's paramount above other issues, but because it encapsulates everything we are as Christians, everything we are as believers in God. It mirrors our relationship with him. How so, pastor? Well, a marriage of a man and a woman mirrors the ancient Hebrew marriage. That, in turn, points to the coming of Jesus and the marriage supper of the Lamb, and at that supper where birth is given to a host of children, amen, children of God. That's why he calls them children of God. 32 chromosomes from a mother, 32 chromosomes from a father form and produce a brand new life. Brand new life. Let me finish. These Wicked plans, wicked plans, wow, I could go on for days.

Speaker 3:

Wicked plans, thoughts and plans that cause discord and strife and unbelief, not only among the brethren but in all of society and culture. Racism, at its inception, was part of a wicked plan. Part of a wicked plan Forced submission to enslave and enrich certain people, forced upon a people based on the color of their skin A wicked plan. Wicked plan To mutilate our children through the trans agenda, pulling children from the authority of their parents to accomplish an evil. And a wicked plan my to defile the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman to a man and a man and a woman and a woman, or any subsects of pronouns that you want to identify. Wicked plans how many genders do we have now? 64?.

Speaker 3:

Wicked plans Plans to stifle speech. Heralding Jesus is the king you know, it's so much like the first century. We have no king but Caesar, my, and that's what it's coming to. Heralding Jesus as king or support of Israel. Wicked plans censoring what Bible verses we can read or from what books we can take them, what interpretation we need to give them. You say, oh, come on, pastor, this is America. 150 miles north, it's already happening. 150 miles north, it's already happening. It's already happening. Pastors are being censored, what they can say from this book, what we, where and when we can share the gospel.

Speaker 3:

Remember we said earlier in this series as long as you keep it behind your walls, don't broadcast it, don't take it out. Feet that rush to evil. Feet that rush to evil. That's an enthusiastic support of everything that dishonors God, that calls his word a lie, when we know the truth but we choose to do otherwise Celebrating hate, applauding violence, feet that rush to evil, feet that rush to evil, justifying the destruction of public property and buildings and statues. Because that's how we feel. Did we talk about feelings this morning? That's how we feel, lamenting, lamenting that the shooter and butler missed Passing laws and edicts from the White House, from the Capitol, that directly oppose God's word, and now coercing and forcing today's pulpits to compromise biblical values, biblical truth.

Speaker 3:

How does and I hate this term, but I'm going to use it, I hate this identification how does today's black church and I hate that because there is no black church, there is the church, amen, but they use that term, so I'll use that term how does today's black church open its doors to a political platform that stands for everything that God hates and offer the pulpit to one of the adherents? How do we do that? We do that by compromise, and we've compromised the gospel for political purposes. Compromise the gospel. Lastly, well, almost lastly, a false witness is another that God hates, the greatest, I believe.

Speaker 3:

Infection in the church today, spreading rumors, outright lies, about a brother or a sister, in the culture and in society, especially in politics. That's all you hear. My goodness, every candidate is responsible for the Hindenburg or the burning of Rome. I'll be so glad when November 6th comes. I'm in the mail and on television, on the radio, that's all you hear. I'm in the mail and on television, on the radio, that's all you hear. I'll be a little lighter on the 6th.

Speaker 3:

And lastly, dissension. Dissension not only in culture but in the church. And this dissension began in the culture, dividing us by class, dividing us by race, by gender, by denomination, then in the church, by church size, by degrees on the wall, by denomination, by denomination. All seven of those things, topic for a different message. But it's puzzled me about why it says these six things God hates Wait, no seven. What's the correction? That'd be an interesting topic for a Bible study. Six, no seven. Thought of another one All seven of these things that God hates, that we read as recorded in the book of Proverbs, are not only flourishing in our culture, they're flourishing in the church, all seven, as I said, those things have been rampant in the culture, but I want to go a little deeper on one in particular, to bring to a close this political trilogy, that is, the shedding of innocent blood, a topic that's supercharged right now, especially in this political time, in the culture, in the church. And you know what? I've noticed? That even those in the church that are passively pro-life are quiet, are silent. And maybe you say, pastor, how does this really affect us? We're really not into that. And anything in the past has been forgiven and under the blood. It affects everybody. It affects everybody. This doctrine. Pastors won't speak of it, churches won't preach it. It's pretty much taboo to mention.

Speaker 3:

Let me give you some statistics. According to global data on population and health and this is just, I think, two months, I think it was the end of August these statistics Abortion is the world's leading cause of deaths. Do you know that 42% of all deaths in the world are the result of abortion? 42%, and just to put it in perspective, that's more than cancer, more than heart disease, more than accidents 42%. A few years ago, the world was shut down by the spread of this virus called COVID-19. You all remember right, it was a big deal. We'll never forget it. It changed our world. Lockdowns, shutdowns, closings, isolation. Only two things were allowed to remain open landscapers and liquor Shut down, commerce, schools, hospitals were filled. You know how many people died from COVID-19? From then until now, worldwide 1.9 million. A lot of people. 1.9 million people died In one year. One year there are 42 times more babies killed in the womb than died from COVID. 42.6 million children were killed just last year. 8.2 million died of cancer. 42 million babies were aborted. Let me say this it million babies were aborted.

Speaker 3:

Let me say this it's not a cultural issue, it's not a moral issue, it's not just a political issue or a legal issue. Let me throw another one at you it's a racial issue. It's a racial issue. It's a racial issue. Abortion has taken more black lives than crime, cancer, accidents, heart disease, aids and COVID put together.

Speaker 3:

I'm going to stay quiet. You know we talk about race, we talk about equality, we talk about equity. Then let's talk about abortion. Let's talk about abortion. I know maybe you don't want to hear this. Maybe you think I shouldn't be talking about this, at least not now, not today, not Sunday morning. Save that for a little private meeting.

Speaker 3:

What I've been given to say I say with respect I'm not here to shame anyone, tell anyone what you should or shouldn't do. I haven't come to bring reproach or condemnation on your position, or condemnation, maybe, for a choice you made years ago. It's all under the blood, it's all forgiven. But I am asking you for 15 minutes, 15 more minutes, just to hear God's perspective, his point of view. God bless you. Isn't God worth 15 minutes? Let's just face the truth for 15 minutes. Leave politics out of it, leave feelings out of it. We'll only look at the logical, the biological and the theological Media hype. Put it aside for 15 minutes. Firstly, pro-life is confirmed biologically In the 139th Psalm.

Speaker 3:

David said let's, we're close by 139,. Let's read it. David says this outstanding thing, david, david's not a gynecologist, he's not an obstetrician, he is not a scientist, he's not even a politician. And listen what God says through David, 139 and 13.

Speaker 3:

For thou hast possessed my. Am I right? Yeah, thou hast possessed my reigns. Thou hast covered me in my mother's room. I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are thy works, and that my soul knoweth right. Well, my substance is not hid from thee. When I was made in secret, secret and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth, thine eyes did see my substance yet being unperfect. And in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there were none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, o God, how great is the sum of them? If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand. When I awake I am still with thee. Surely that would slay. Am I at the right place here? Yeah, I just read a little too far. Surely that will slay the wicked. O God, we don't need to go there. I read a little too far.

Speaker 3:

David makes clear that it's more than a blob of protoplasm or unrefined cells, that he was, before he was born, a living human being, a human baby. You know, we hear all the time, don't you hear this on all these edicts and ads and CDC. We follow the science, we follow the science. Listen to the science. So let's follow the science and I believe you'll find that science is the best friend of a pro-life position. As I said, I'm a pastor, I'm not a doctor, I'm not those other things either, but I've been studying this subject and reading and researching for a long time and a huge portion of the medical journals.

Speaker 3:

Scientists and doctors concur that a brand new life is created at the moment of conception. They all agree. Look it up in the medical books. They agree that a brand new life is at the moment of conception. It confirms, not to get too far in the weeds, but an X chromosome produces a female XX. A Y chromosome produces a male XY. So the sex and the gender of that baby is determined at conception. What that baby will be, boy or a girl, determined at conception. Their sexual orientation is confirmed at the moment of conception. When a woman conceives and again not an obstetrician she becomes pregnant.

Speaker 3:

She carries in her body, her body. You ever heard that? You ever seen it on a sign? My body, my body. She carries in her body a separate body, not hers, not hers, not hers. What are you talking about, pastor? Of course it is Not hers theologically, not hers medically. A separate body, and trust at least that I've done my research here. It's why an umbilical cord separates the mother from the baby. Umbilical cord separates the mother from the baby. It's why the cord separates. Their blood doesn't intermingle, the baby doesn't get the mother's blood. The baby has its own blood, unique. So that chant of my body, my choice, my choice, doesn't apply. The mother's body is unique and separate and wonderful, different blood, different DNA than the baby.

Speaker 3:

In 24 hours, 20 or I sorry, 24 days in 24 days, a heart is beating. 24 days, less than a month. A heart is beating In 40 days, a functional brain. When we die, and all of us will. All of us do. But when we die, how do they determine you're dead? They determine you're dead because no heartbeat, no brain waves, no heartbeat, no brainwaves, no heartbeat, no brainwaves. You've heard that term that someone's brain dead but their heart's still beating. You're clinically dead when there's no heartbeat and no brainwaves. If you have those things a heartbeat and brainwaves you're a living human being. Right, abortion stops both. Abortion stops both these things. And I'll not get into the gruesome details of an abortion. I've gone about as far as I want to go in this for a Sunday morning. I'll not venture into that evil, wicked procedure. Suffice it to say that if it happened outside of a mother's womb, we would be outraged.

Speaker 3:

If it happened to a pet people would go to jail and what it all comes down to, the question is that embryo, that zygote, is it a human or not? That's really the question. You can say health of this, health of that, what it really comes down to. And look, you know, if there's an issue with medical issue between a mother and a baby, that's between you and your doctor. But to come down to and say, well, you have to say it's not a human. You have to say that baby isn't a human and I think we're presented very clearly that it is. I can't see how any logical person could even debate whether that's a human. And if it isn't a human, why do we care? If it was determined that it's not a human, why the debate? Why do we even talk about it? It's not a human. Why the debate? Why do we even talk about it? It's not a human.

Speaker 3:

Three quick questions Is what is conceived? And that's the first one is what is conceived human? And we all know the answer to that A human mother and a human father get together. The baby is human. The answer is yes. Secondly, is an unborn baby genetically unique? A baby's complete. A baby is complete. Own blood, own DNA, own set of genes own, doesn't share that from the mother. The mother's unique as welled DNA Is an unborn baby alive and growing. We've had enough. We've had enough sisters in here with child to say, yeah, they did. I remember, sharon, she came in one day and announced that she was going to have a baby and you couldn't tell. Next time I saw her, oh, you could tell. So the baby's alive and growing. You mothers can answer that.

Speaker 3:

So let me lay the last argument on you, one that I hear a lot, and this one might make you mad, but it leads us back to our trilogy, so I can shut this down. The argument that says, yeah, I'm against it, but I'm pro-choice, I wouldn't do it. I hear sisters say I wouldn't do it, but I'm pro-choice, yeah, I'm pro-life, but still I support a woman's right to choose. So why are you against something that you support? Would be the question. If you're pro-choice, you're pro-abortion, if you're pro-choice, you're pro-murder.

Speaker 3:

I think we've clearly defined that you favor that which God says he hates. You enthusiastically support what God hates, and a vote for that platform is to enthusiastically support that which God hates, because you either got to get out and go into a polling place or you at least got to fill out your vote by mail, ballot, ballot. And while I hesitate to say that I'm a one-issue voter and I'm only interested in this one issue, and I'm here to tell you that a choice for a pro-life president, senator will end this evil. It won't, it won't, but it's a step toward righteousness. It's a step toward things that God accepts, that God desires. I believe I read this week the Latin word for vote came from, or the. Yeah, the Latin word for vote is votum and it means to make a choice. Make a choice.

Speaker 3:

That choice in 2016 made it possible for Roe versus Wade to be overturned. That's the truth, where we can hold our elected officials accountable, prayerfully and at the ballot box. All right, you ready for a close? All right, some of you have amened the first three of these, the first three of these and the first three parts of this message. I pray you'll amen this last part just as strongly.

Speaker 3:

While I think our leadership choice is clear, it's far less important who is in the White House as opposed to who's on the throne Far less. And this election, while it may alter the dynamics of time in regard to the spread of the gospel, the ability to do what God has called us to do. Our mission, regardless of outcome, is to preach this gospel, and this gospel will go forward. You see, our identification isn't Republican or Democrat. Your identification is Christian, hallelujah. When we put that identification above our Christianity, we're in trouble. We're already in trouble, in fact. In fact, history shows us that the church does its best work and I'm sorry, I'm yelling it does its best work in times of persecution. In other words, the church goes forward in times of persecution.

Speaker 3:

A spiritual revival, a spiritual revival, must precede a political one. It doesn't work the other way. That's not how it works. If this one gets elected, then we'll. No, that's not how it works. The spiritual revival precedes the political one. If my people who are called by my name will hear my voice, see where it starts, hallelujah, then I'll heal the land, spiritual before political. And lastly, lastly, always remember, always remember why we're here, what our job is.

Speaker 3:

Don't make personal enemies of those who oppose what you believe. You know it's so easy to get into that. And them, and them, and them. That's why we're here. Don't burn the mission field. Don't refrain from telling the truth. I think I told you the story that we had, this young trans person who came to church for six months and I, honestly, I don't understand. And he'd come one day as Louie and come the next week as Louise. And I didn't know, I thought they were two different people. What am I? But even after I understood what was going on and what had happened, that person came to church for six months, never shunned them, never outcasted them. I embraced them as Louie and I embraced them as Louise. That's the mission field, that's what we're called to. Don't refrain from telling the truth and exposing lies. But that's why he saved us, that's why he fills us with his power, teddy. That's why we're here. Amen, and I'll close right there. Thanks so much.
